Colors are a little brighter than shown, but a great shoe and feature when hiking at night. Size 6 was a little big, but it will be perfect for our needs. great value

My son loves these. Super stylish and very comfortable. Sizing is spot on. These are even comfortable in the break in time frame. These are great for walking, playing or light hiking.

Must admit these HI-TEC Hiking shoes are not just for boys but girls ( and women too)! Taking a chance for the Mrs., we ordered kids size 7 which is equivalent to a women's 9! WOW, what a near perfect fit. The only minor issue is the top 2 center elastic bands ( Bungee laces) are slightly loose, that's it. Not a deal breaker. (we do not hold HI-TEC at fault because intended buyer are boys). With that mentioned we do have Pros and Cons. PROS: 1) Very good stitching throughout2) Overall glue adhesion seems to be seriously strong! no pulling or prying of sole from shoe, so that's a good thing especially when hiking rough rugged terrain.3) Hook and loop strap closure for easy on and off4) Heel pull strap always handy for helping feet into the shoes.5) Good amount of FLEX on the soles, definitely a must have for any rough terrain/walking.6) Soles/Heels have GREAT GRIPPING power. No slip, no sliding in these. That's a Plus!7) Of course, LIGHTWEIGTH is another plus. At 13oz per shoe, helps to reduce stress when walking or running. CONS: the insole has the words ‘step in comfort’ imprinted on them but offers no cushion and is wafer-thin! Easy fix, we will order a better insole pad. OTHER: Unsure if these HI-TEC shoes are weather proof ( rain or snow). Also, with a tongue that is only stitched at its base on the shoes, water will be able to enter from that point up. For the price, should of been water resistant. Since this pair of HI-TEC shoes fits a woman size 9, along with the numerous PROS we mentioned, we do RECOMMEND them!
