I'm planning on using this set to irrigate a series of 'whiskey barrel' planters that line my driveway, and what drew me to it was the design of the circuit hub and quick connect arrangement with the hoses. You get plenty of 1/4-inch PVC hose to work with and can create circuits of up to 20 nozzles in series so long as you loop the circuit through 2 of the available ports on the hub. This is necessary to maintain continuous pressure, otherwise you'll have to cap the line as a single run with fewer nozzles. The hub is made of heavy-duty ABS plastic and seals well with a 3/4-inch standard hose connection. I like that the hub ports can be turned on/off individually, making this very versatile if you don't need all 5 circuits to prevent pressure loss as well as easily turning various lines on/off if you need to vary the frequency of watering for different plants but still want to use the same timer settings. The timer is very easy to setup and use with an intuitive wheel switch to step through the different settings. It has a clear digital display that's easy to read from a distance, that also shuts itself off after a period of inactivity to preserve the battery life. It's powered by a pair of AA alkaline batteries in a water-tight compartment and is rated for use in temperatures ranging from 40-113 F. Living in the desert Southwest, temperatures can sometimes get into the extremes on both ends of that spectrum but that's a side-effect of the plastic construction that's common in timers of this type. I like that it has a heavy-duty brass connection for the 3/4-inch faucet connection which makes it easy to get a tight seal to prevent leakage.When it comes to the 'quick connect' features, I'm impressed with how much easier it is to manage hose lengths and connect up the nozzles compared to the traditional barbed style of hose connectors. The blue clamp grips tightly and without leaking, and if you press in firmly, will release the hose as well if you need to disconnect things for adjustment or repair. I like that the dribbler nozzles are individually adjustable with a simple twist dial, as this gives you greater control over the output along the entire circuit so you don't have plants getting washed out in one section and others barely getting any water at all in others. The mounting stakes are easy to insert and adjust as well, supporting an angled rotation with the nozzles so you can direct the stream exactly where you want it to go for maximum irrigation results. The amount of output on the nozzles is not large, even when fully opened, but is sufficient to serve the needs of small individual plants in the 4-6-inch pot range. Anything larger than that and it doesn't really provide an adequate flow of water to support it.

I've had other drip irrigation sets, but this was really the full package - literally! It had everything in one box, so that I could be up and running. I loved how much hose it came with, but the timer was a great add on! The emitters also had a good amount of variability to make sure every area ends up with equal coverage.

I love gardening in the warm months, but sometimes busy mornings make it difficult for me to get around to watering my plants. This kit is perfect and has everything needed from the timer to the tubing, to the sprinklers. For the price, everything seems well made, and it is easy to piece together a custom setup to fit your specific garden. This kit has enough tubing and heads to probably work for the majority of small - medium sized hobbyist gardens.

Very excited to try this. I've always been concerned about irrigations systems like these because pressure seems to dwindle to nothing by the end of the hose. This appears to be well-made and will update once we hook it up in spring. Well-packaged and a number of parts to customize.
