I have bought many blankets through the years but these are the best. There are belly straps and also a belly wrap. After fastening the straps, the belly wrap covers the straps and ensures a secure fit which should keep these blankets in place. All the fasteners are of good quality. The extra detachable hood is adjustable and perfect when the temperature begins to drop. The blankets are somewhat heavy, which I wanted. We have temperature variations throughout the day (Texas) so blankets come off mid morning and back on in the evening. We recommend these and everyone who has seen them are excited to get their own.

I purchased this for temps in the 20’s and below. I live in TN where it typically doesn’t get extremely cold, but my horse is of a thinner build and is outside 95% of the day. I felt confident he stayed cozy. Fit was excellent!!
