This comb didn't perform as described for my dog. It frequently got caught up in his fur.

It does a great job of taking the undercoat out. I've been using it for a few months and the dogs don't mind it. One loves being brushed by it. Study and just as advertised

This product is two tool in one. Originally purchased for the under coat comb, but have found the rake side, quite effective as well. I needed both. Nice grip and pivotal head. No stress on our dog with this grooming tool.

This is really excellent if you have a larger dog with a thick undercoat. We have two of them, one Pyrenees mix and a Siberian husky mix. With the pandemic going on, they haven't been getting their regular grooming appointments, so we've been trying to manage the fluff ourselves with just a furminator and some (dog) nail clippers...to mediocre results at best. This tool does a solid job of actually penetrating to the undercoat and loosening it up/drawing it out so that the "rake" surface (similar to a furminator) can carry it all away. Two step process, but much more effective. We filled almost two large garbage bags with fur.

Absolutely brilliant comb. My curly westie gets matted and tangled so easily & I'm always hesitant about being too rough & hurting her with the comb. With this she was much quicker & easier to groom & tangles gone with no chasing required.

My mum had this pet comb for her cat who hates being brushed. I got one for my cats and it’s beyond amazing. The fine comb side doesn’t hurt the cat but gets out the most amazing amount of hair - mostly from the fine layer underneath. As you can see from the picture, my short haired cat Korma, who enjoys being combed, let me comb until I got enough to knit a small scarf!! So impressive!

The fine comb is very good for capturing hair off my cat. The larger grooming comb is less effective for my particular moggy, but it may be more effective for longer or coarser coats. Unusually, the cat seemed to quite enjoy being combed by this, instead of trying to attack my hand.

I struggled for 3 years to groom my Newfoundland/poodle cross with just a brush and a pair of scissors. His long wavy hair tangles easily and is a magnet for everything he walks by. We live in a rural area with a lot of trees...cedar twigs get caught in the fur on his legs, cottonwood bud scales catch in his paws, hemlock and larch needles everywhere else in his fur. This is an on-going, year-round problem that I tried to combat by just brushing him and then cutting out the unavoidable mats with some scissors. He's a big guy, 110 lbs. so grooming can be quite a chore. I got this 3 days ago and set to work. Not only am I succeeding in working through the mats, I'm getting a lot of the undercoat that makes him so uncomfortable in the summertime. I'm using the wide-tooth part to work on the mats and the fine-tooth part gently on his legs and paws. He isn't struggling like he used to whenever I sat down to groom him. I can use this whenever we come back from a walk. I'm looking forward to a time when he won't have mats in his fur that I have to wait until he's sleeping in order to cut them out with the scissors..

I have tries every imaginable grooming tool in an effort to keep my cat's coats free of matt's and this is the one I have found works best. One side is very similar to the furminator and does just as good of a job and the comb on the other side with the two rows is fantastic. Having both on the same tool and having both sides actually useful makes grooming more efficient. The fact that it bends at the neck has been a real life saver for my cat with sensitive skin since it gently flows with the curves of her body. I love it and have gotten rid of all of my other grooming tools.

I have a short haired lab mix who sheds like crazy! And when I ordered this brush I mainly wanted it for the deshedding side of the brush and not so much for the comb side. And let me tell you, this has probably been one of the best purchases I have made for my dog. As soon as I received it I tried it on him and it exceeded my expectations. It is very gentle yet very effective. Not only did it get all his undercoat out it even got the dirt under there too. I highly recommend this for any pet owner. I think if my dog had a longer coat I would be able to use the comb side but overall I am smitten.

2017 Brush purchase #1: High quality brush - very good materials, construction, fit & finish! The steel pins are very smooth.2020 Update: After 3 years of frequent use, everything about the brush was as good as new except for the rubber cushioning in the handle's joint. That joint used to be like a shock absorber of sorts to regulate the pressure you put onto the dog's skin. It simply wore out. However! The main portion of the brush was as good as new and there was no flaking off of any chrome material as with cheap brushes. As far as the part that removes and cuts the finer hairs (thinning brush of sorts), it was still sharp enough to cut smoothly. Unfortunately I dropped the brush so many times onto granite boulders that I damaged the brush. My brushing station is over a creek on a footbridge lined with boulders. Had I not done so, I would not have had to buy a second brush in 2020. Very good brush and a very good value.
