we don't hunt (yet), but we wanted to see if any of these attractants actually work, and this was the best looking product, so we picked it out to try, and the 5 or 6 deer that we've seen on our property in the past keep coming back for it. my wife loves to see the deer, and I love the idea of eating one of them!

5 pound bag exorbitantly overpriced – looks like a similar product that works very wellIt is February when I received this product therefore I cannot give it a reasonable tested product review because it is the wrong time of the year to use a Deer Feeder. I did examine the product and it smells great so I am sure the deer (and undesirable critters) will love it. It is the correct consistency to feed through my Deer Feeder without clogging it up. The portion of whole corn kernels in it look like high quality high nutrition “cow feed” Dent Corn that costs much less than this for a 100 pound bag. Of course, you are paying a premium price for the so called, “Persimmon Flavored Protein Pellets” which I am sure the deer will love. Early next fall, I am going to put this into my Deer Feeder and then put 100 pounds of whole corn on top of it. That way, it will feed out first. Of course, I will monitor the “Deer Feed Lot” with at least two Trail Cameras so I can really test this stuff. If the deer do not go nuts for it, I will report back. I took off two Star Rating points because of the exorbitant overprice for only 5 pounds of mostly whole corn and processed soybean protein.

I live by a wooded area and there was a young injured doe with a severely injured leg. I know they can survive with only three legs if they have enough nutrition and protein. It was still early spring and food was sparse so I ordered these because if the pellets and augmented with other food for deer. It did attract her and others. It is weeks now since I first saw her and while the leg is still mangled she looks better and healthier. I have slowed feeding since trees and grass are growing.
