I'm not in law enforcement, but I do carry a flashlight with them when I walk my dogs, so I need to be able to grab and stow the flashlight quickly, which this ring holster does. Easy in and out! Fits over a belt (mine is 1.5 inches or 3.8 centimeters wide). Once in the holster, the flashlight sits comfortably on my hip and can be adjusted quickly. Given the reasonable price, I highly recommend this holster.

I suppose it will hold up ok. Most people don't really carry around the big flashlights anymore. They usually go for the small led lights, or at least I do. With that said I got this to hold a hatchet of similar size and weight to a fully loaded mag light. The clasps are good and stitching is well done. I like the double rings and I don't like the double rings. Good to have two sizes but more difficult to holster things one handed. They are also plastic. Even for a flashlight I would have liked to have seen at least metal rings encapsulated in plastic for a better duty life. I deducted a star for that.

I carry an old school D cell Mag Lite flashlight when I go walking if it's going to get dark. I have started to realize how nice it would be to not have to carry the flashlight the whole time, so I picked this up.It is an inexpensive item, the ring is plastic, but it seems sturdy so far, and the upside is that it won't mar the finish of the flashlight.The nylon strap connects securely to my belt, and holds my flashlight easily. I put it on the side of my hip, and it avoids excess swinging of the flashlight, and the barrel won't bump into your leg as much with each step.

This Hero’s Pride Flashlight Ring Holder works great! And I didn’t even take it off the cardboard backing yet! If it can hold a heavy 12” Maglite D-cell flashlight, it can hold anything. It’s actually designed with 2 slightly different-sized rings to hold C and D cell flashlights securely. The rings are thick plastic and the belt holder is made of sturdy webbing that fits a 2.25” belt. It holds on tight with two strong snaps. Hero’s Pride makes good quality EDC tactical gear.
