For non-stud, drywall mounting, please use included plastic screw anchors. Using a drill bit that is slightly smaller than the closed end of the plastic anchor, drill a hole as deep as the anchor (approximately 1.4 inches). Next, tap the anchor into the hole until flush with wall.

I bought 2 of these. One for the Jim Root California Custom Shop Jazzmaster, and one for the J. Mascis Telecaster. I used Toggler 1/2" drywall anchors I got from Lowes. I originally was going to install into studs, but found I didn't like the locations they would be in and used the drywall anchors. I like that it holds the thinner tele headstock without it slipping through. I would recommend using more heavy-duty drywall anchors like I used instead of the ones they come with. I just don't trust the normal drywall anchors.

Comes with all hardware needed, including screws and wall anchors. Easy to install, cute little template design for fitting to the wall. Hard plastic and metal composition for sturdy quality.This fits great on any wall, but make sure your drywall can support your guitar if you’re not installing into a stud!

This hanger is fantastic quality and just looks cool. I use these to hang both my very expensive Les Paul and Stratocaster guitars. Has a great feature that automatically closes the two safety brackets with the weight of the guitar itself so you don’t have to close them manually. Will easily fit a wider neck either acoustic or electric guitar regardless of the headstock. Extremely well built and very sturdy. Love the different color choices as well. They really hit it out of the park with these hangers. At this price, it’s also a fantastic value. I would highly recommend these to any guitarist or bass player.

The design is strong and sturdy but for a thin electric it sticks out too far and made it feel in the way in my small room. In a bigger room or for acoustic it would be great
