Used this to make some beaded oyster shell ornaments and it worked great! Sturdy, but 'slick' enough to thread through bead holes. Great purchase!

I've been using this particular hemp cording for several years now (multiple orders). It's soooo much better and easier to use than regular string, twine, or jute.if you've ever had to thread a kajillion wood beads, then you know what I mean - who has the time and patience to put tape on string to thread just a few beads onto a thousand different pieces of jute! Not me!It's also pretty strong and stands up to wear and pulling.

I purchased three spools of this hemp string (black, white, and natural) for binding simple journals I enjoy making (using only 3 - 5 stitches). They work well for this purpose, with just a touch of beeswax just to help thread the bookbinding needle. I like the rougher, natural look and feel, and as I sometimes make watercolor journals I did not want to use a waxed thread, which could get wax all over the paper. For more complex bookbinding I would opt for thinner, smoother waxed threads. I could see this string being perfect for various macrame projects. I'm no body builder or anything, but I haven't been able to pull the string apart yet. I do test and make sure it doesn't want to rip before I start my project, however.I recently purchased a regular old spool of polyester sewing thread for a little over half the price of one of these, so relatively speaking I have no complaints about the size or quality of these spools. Very reasonable for what I received, will last me forever, and will reveal more and more uses to me over time. For reference, the journals are 4.5" x 6". I am pleased with these! Happy creating!

I used this product for wrapping presents for Christmas and it was very good and I'm happy that it can be recycled as it is made from natural materials

This is #20 my beads shown are 6mm. You will need 8mm beads for this size hemp. And clear nail polish to keep the ends from coming undone. Very sturdy hemp
