The handle attachment to the basket is flimsy,I don't think this is going to last very long.

Zero Stars. Before I bought this one I had had one for 20+ years that I purchased in NYC Chinatown. It was very sturdy.I bought one of these and it fell apart almost immediately. Thinking the price was cheap and may it was an anomaly, I bought a second. It too has fallen apart. The primary problem is that the handle is not attached firmly enough. Basically the basket juts flops around. Something is seriously wrong with how these were made.

Smaller than expected, won't sit on edge of a mug for steeping just falls into the mug, very flimsy. Nothing like the previous one I owned. Returned.

A natural tea strainer is a great way to make tea, and this particular version is well made. No, the tea leaves do not fall out into the cup. The strainers last a long time. Rinse them and let them dry before putting them away. Soak in a cup with just boiling water the first time, to remove any dust or residue from manufacturing or shipment..

I've been buying these for years. This type of strainer lasts about 3 - 4 months with 2 - 3 times per week use. I have found that completely drying them out between uses keeps them going the longest. They are not meant to last forever, the swelling and shrinking of the bamboo makes it loose as time ticks along, if you are looking for a "good forever never needs to be replaced strainer" this isn't what you are looking for. If you are looking for a strainer that works really well for a good price this may fit your needs.
