This has worker perfectly to solve my hot-spot issue.Temps are now more consistent throughout the smoker and i am now able to use the full surface of the grates without having to worry about doneness variances.Excellent for my use!!!

Saw a review on smoke pot heat shields for Pit Boss grills on Mad Backyard youtube. Searched Amazon and found this, ordered, received, installed on my Pit Boss Laredo 1000 with no problems. Easy cheezy, lemon squeezy. Well built thick gauge steel. Fantastic product. A must have for your Pit Boss grill!

Can confirm this does not fit a Pit Boss 1100 Pro Series 1 (PB1100PS1). Maybe I will try bending it like other review recommended.

Package arrived and this is solid, heavy unit. I have a pit boss pro1000. I removed the factory diffuser and replaced it with this. I did have to bend the legs in a bit for the top drip pan to fit but no biggie. Cooking 3 pork butts today and so far seems to be working. In the pic, the higher probe is left side, middle of the grill, and bottom is right side. All temps are close. I attribute left side difference to it being a smaller piece. I'm happy with it so far. Will be smoking brisket for Christmas, will update after that.

Tried it on my Pit Boss 1600 to help eliminate the hotspot in the center of the grill, did absolutely no good and a waste of money

The quality seems great. But sitting inside my PB820d mahogany series it doesn’t allow the normal defuser to fit properly. NOT TO FEAR after doing some minor adjusting to the base taking the bends on both sides to a rough 45 degrees and it sits about an inch over the fire box and everything fits as it should! Got a long smoke coming up so we shall see how it helps with temp control.
