This is a beautiful, solid, sturdily graceful piece of furniture. Of all the footstools I have ever had, this is probably the most appealing, and the last one I would consign to a garage sale. One small proviso. Despite its solidity and strength, I'm not sure I would feel entirely secure to use it as a stepping-sool -- only because of the rounded ends of its legs and the rest of the styling that makes it otherwise so beautiful. But that could be just because I'm eighty and aware of my increased danger from household activities.

This stool is a little dangerous for big feet in my opinion. It looks great and is well made, however, unless you get your feet well positioned and balanced on the stool, the stool is very unstable. The stool tends to want to tip over easily depending on where you position your weight. I was constantly shifting and adjusting my weight to ensure that I was not going to topple off the stool. If it were to be used for children with smaller feet, hopefully, it would be a bit more stable, but I'm not so sure it would be - especially if they get too far to one side. It will be great for sitting and using to maybe hold a plant.

Very sturdy -I’m 160 and can stand on it , however I noticed legs look to be glued on - so longevity wise - I don’t know how long this will last , or it claimed to be real wood but looking at bottom of legs , it looks like that glued together fake wood . For the price , I think I’d choose something else
