This is meant to allow bag workouts without taking up a lot of space when not in use. A few issues with the concept and execution:1. It's not easy to move into and out of the storage position. You have to reach the mount and remove a bolt, it's not a spring release, and not something that can be reached without a stool unless you have a low bag and/or little/no space between the top of the bag and the mount.2. It's noisy. The bolt can be tightened, but even when tightened it moves as the bag is hit. The extendable bar adds to the noise. With a ceiling mount the impact noise doesn't transfer very much vertically to the ceiling, so the ceiling noise isn't terrible, but this is mounted to a wall on the side and every impact sends a lot of energy sideways into the wall. The wall acts like a speaker, so you can hear each impact on both sides of the wall. While this has some use in specific situations, I'm going back to a ceiling mount with a wall tie that allows me to hold it out of the way to clear workout space when not in use..I STRONGLY recommend mounting this to secure walls - if you mount it into drywall it will not support the bag for long. Directly into studs, or put plywood on studs, then mount this to plywood. Concrete and concrete blocks should be fine, but you'll want to regularly check your fasteners as I expect they'll loosen over time in brittle walls like concrete.

The golt in the arm broke off from the arm itself, sending the 100lb bag flying. I thought I'd contact to get a new arm since it's under warranty but there is no method to contact the company. Amazon couldn't help me get a contact for them, their page sends you in circles and there have no non-amazon location. No point in a warranty if you can't make a claim on it.

This is the perfect heavy bag bracket system I’ve seen that would be suitable for our set up. The problem is out of three separate units I’ve purchased every one of them is missing one out of the three bolts with the turn knobs on them.. I can’t seem to get a hold of the seller because of how they have them sold on Amazon. Would love it if the seller could get in touch with me because I would really like to have this.

This is a great concept for saving space. This unit is very very noisy when hitting heavy bag (70lb). Also to fold to wall you must remove a bolt EVERY TIME. This is mounted 8 ft high.Wouldn’t recommend. If I could do over would hang from ceiling.UPDATE*******Received message from manufacturer, issued a partial refund and will send revised model when created. For this excellent customer support I have updated to 3 stars. I would work with this company any time. Thanks

Update: the company reached out to me and sent another one. Excellent customer service. The bolt that holds the bar is not on the right side of the metal piece for the holes to line up. That or the holes are on the wrong side. Not sure if this is a fluke with this one it what but the ring for the bag is now on the side instead of underneath. Otherwise couldn't secure it

I recommend placing something to deaden the vibration on a wood framed wall. The spacing is perfect for stud framed 16” on center. I used some rubber gym mat as an isolator between the wall and the mount. The swing arm works well. I added a rubber grommet into the slide pin to deaden the sound of it bouncing around when using the heavy bag.
