The strap that comes with the Quest3 is so uncomfortable it might as well come with no strap. For under 30 bux, I decided to give this a try. I was surprised how comfortable this strap is. I spent a few hours in VR sim racing and felt no discomfort at all. In addition it took about a minute to install.

I want to say, the base head strap for the occulus is too loose, it doesnt strap down on the head which means moving also moves the lenses and distorts images as you work. This is unacceptable. Also the weight on the standard strap allows all the pressure of the headset to tilt forward so you'll always feel the strain of the tug on the top and depending on your face, the cheekbones. Very uncomfortable given that the fabric used is textured so it ends up scratching the skin. The elite strap is metas own solution to this but its nearly 70 dollars, thats alot. This is alot cheaper and fixes those issues. It may not be high quality, with plastic inserts, but it does have a few nice things including padding for the back and top and like the elite strap. One thing that the elite does have over this is when you're tired and want to lay down, the elite strap lies flat and this one has a knob that sticks out making this less than ideal for when you want to lay against a wall or have in the bed. But you can tighten very easily and take off very easily too. It also comes with a reflexive hinge design which allows you to secure the headset and align with the eyes, and then strap the rest of the headset to tighten as you slide it back along the head, its a much more intuitive way to seat the headset. So kudos here to this 3P vendor solution, it may not be perfect, but it is 100% an upgrade for anyone. P.S. there is no universe that the weight of the headset will ever not give you headaches

Any time you have something of this wieght that produces heat resting on your head over an extended time, your going to have comfort issues (just ask your feet 🤣) when I first tried the Meta 3 on demo at a store of course, they where using the $140 version they sell. The nice thing about theirs is the backup battery, giving 2 extra hours game time w/o a noticeable difference in wieght. Now having said that, this head strap is ever bit as comfortable as thiers. If your smart enough to figure out other power options or don't play more than 2 hours @ a time this is my verdict.👍GET IT!!!
