I give this product a 5 star rating not because its the finest product ever made, but because it was exactly (if not a bit better quality) than I thouht it would be. I bought this for my 8 year old daughter. The smaller than regulation size makes it ideal for the tight space where it fits in the play room. It is a great starter table, perfect for kids, and adequate even for adults. Alrhough by no means a tournament table, the play action of the table is quite good. I grew up playing serious Foosball, and I still enjoy playing on this table. Some minor design flaws, such as the players are too close to the table so that when they are upside down the ball cannot pass under their heads.Addressing some common review complaints:Quality- it is made of compressed particle board, but it is plenty sturdy and stable. Adjustable feet allow you to level the table. If you want a table that will last you a lifetime, spend $500-$1K and get a regulation table. I expect it to last several years at least. For what I spent that is all I ask.Assembly- Not at all difficult, just time consuming. Instructions were very clear with illustrations parts are numbered. Allow 1-2 hours. It was a Christmas present for the kids, but I’m glad I didn’t try to put it together Christmas Eve night.Small size- Again, this is not a regulation, tournament Foosball table, but it is big enough for the entire family to have spirited competition. Grips are pretty small, but not an issue IMO. Some complained about them falling off, mine fit pretty snug.

I look at a lot of foosball tables and in the end I decided on this one for a few reasons: although I love foosball I've never had a full-size table before and so I wasn't quite ready to spend 500/1k or more - that will be on the next one; this Hathaway is a great 'starter' table. I was also a bit concerned about the size of full-size tables, this Hathaway is a tad smaller than full-size and a nice compromise for us. And finally my son is 6 and we often have kids ages 4-8 in the house - I couldn't see getting a 'nice' table just yet until they get a bit older. Here's what I like about the Hathaway:1) the quality is what I expected for the price. It's obviously not top of the line, but it's a good value for the money (2) the players offer surprisingly good control for this price point. Granted I might not know any better not having played on a 1k+ table but I'm pleasantly surprised3) setup and being able to play in under an hour was nice4) it's the right size for my 6 year old crew. a taller table would have been a problem5) even though it's not full size, I wouldn't call this a kids table. It works fine for my buddies and I.6) given the price point I don't have to worry about it getting messed up.7) 4 handles on each side allows for 2 players on each side if you so desire but still manageable when just my son and I want to playHere's what I don't like:1) I'd prefer a one goalie setup vs 3 but oh well2) the instructions were just ok. it takes some brain power to figure out how to put this together but all in all I did it myself in under an hour. the biggest tip is making sure you put the right player line in correctly and facing the right way. Also note that the logo panels' holes didn't line up with the feet but I using an electric screwdriver to force the screws into the feet worked fine.3) the steel rods are thin and I'm pretty sure they will get bent over time which will obviously be a problem4) the goalie ball returns are a bit small for adult hands to reach inside.BOTTOM LINE: for the price you just can't beat this tablef. Gooooooooal!

I'm absolutely amazed by the quality of this foosball table. In spite of the good reviews, I was cautiously optimistic. It was easy to put together. The materials are lightweight, but they are very sturdy. The table is very easy to move around but does not feel like a cheap table during game play. My whole family and I are thoroughly enjoying this table.LIKES:- Lightweight but quality material that is sturdy during game play- easy to put together (1 hr). Just make sure you point the players in the right direction before fully assembling the table; otherwise, you will have to disassemble the whole thing just to turn the players in the opposite direction.- Very attractive and colorful decals in the stadium, and the players are not the dull players you see on most foosball tables. This table is very aesthetically appealing.- Excellent price. I'd be happy with this table even if I'd paid $200 more. I'm proud to have it in my game room. It looks great next to my $1500 air hockey/pool table and my $2000 cocktail arcade table.DISLIKES:- The soccer balls often roll out of the goal and onto the floor when a player scores (maybe 25% of the time). This is a minor issue, and I can probably rig something inside the goal to prevent that from happening. At this price, I'm not complaining...even if I can't fix it. Just something you should be aware of.- It's not free. :-)

The table looks great and performs great as well. It is stable despite of its low weight. It is the right size for mid size room.Kids and adults can play together. Good even for four players. It took an hour to assemble. The only small complain that the pictures in the assemble instruction could be more clear and better print quality, which would prevent from making a mistake.
