I thought the solar would accumulate energy and work all the time but it only works when the sun shines directly on it. It took awhile until the birds would check it out and as you can see by my pictures, they are enjoying it as is a squirrel who managed to climb the Shepard's hook.

It would have been nice to have instructions on how to put this bird bath together!! There seems to be missing pieces!!

Pretty product but the chains rust. Hang it over dirt or you’ll end up with rust stains on your patio

Several of the reviews are saying there’s no way to anchor the fountain to the pump. I figured out if you push the pump outlet thru to the top of the solar disc, you can then attach the fountain flower to the pump. It has to be level though to work right and my chains don’t seem to let it hang level. Just set it on a post for now and will work on the chains. Needs full, complete sun to work. It’s cute - hope the birds will use it.

There is no way to connect the hose to the pump. It’s like it’s missing a piece. But it doesn’t matter because the pump doesn’t have enough power to get the water through the hose anyway.

I think the idea of this is really great. The hanger for the bird bath is very nicely made. The bowl is a very nice size, and also a very nice part of the product. The solar feature of the bird bath works fine, as long as it's in full sun. When it's not in full sun, it doesn't work at all, even in partial shade, so it doesn't charge. Not too big of a deal. The part that is truly baffling is that the fountain flower, no matter how you put the parts together, does not attach to the solar fountain. It's really quite strange. You'd need to glue it or something, I suppose. On a bonus note, the fountain is pretty powerful, and it will jet the unattached flower feature right off as there is no way to attach it as is. Very simple to clean, plastic bird bath. I really want to love this product, but the design wasn't very well thought out, or maybe it came with a crucial piece missing.

There was no way to connect the tubing to the solar pump. No directions included. I do not recommend.

Love this product because the birds love it and the sun causes the solar disc to move water..
