This is a very specific piece of hammocking gear, but if you need it, you need it.For those times when you're taking your hammock with an integrated bug net, you don't want to soak it in permethrin first, you've tried using a sleeping pad to protect your underside and your arms still got bit, there's this. A bottom-only bug net for your jungle hammock. It works and it's cheap, so there's not much to complain about. Ditching the jungle hammock and using a regular one with a full outer bug net may be a more elegant solution, but now it's not the only option. I'm glad this exists.

This is not something you would normally think about, until you need to! I got my tuckus chewed up by skeeters on an overnight campout during the summer and realized then how useful this is. Bug Netting covers for hammocks are not new, but they usually don't take into account the bottom, and those skeeters can and do get right through that and get you. This thing is small, and compacts down well for a minimal footprint and seems pretty well made and is simple to use. Definitely useful!

This packs up pretty small, it’s easy to carry around with my hammock, I can even cram it inside my hammock bag!The net itself is very lightweight and thin, which is certainly enough to keep mosquitoes away, but I do worry about the durability, possibly tearing it at some point.I don’t usually have a lot of problems with mosquitoes or other insides on the bottom of my hammock, but the extra layer of protection is nice

This hammock net is exactly as described. Super lightweight, packable, tight mesh to keep bugs out. It arrived nicely folded/rolled into the attached bag but I can confirm it's possible to stuff it without folding. The ends of the net have a loop of static cord with a cinch to attach to your carabiners or knots. They have plastic cinches to adjust the distance from there to where the net begins. Each side of the net has shock cord with a toggle to adjust the length and drape of the net to match your hammock. Each side has 2 plastic toggles (which the listing calls buckles) on elastic loops that can be looped through your hammock if you have something at those points. This is the one part that's not universal as they are at fixed points 28" from the ends of the netting. You need to have anchor points at those locations. You can cinch the netting to get them closer than 28", but they will go no further towards the middle.Overall versatile and great net for the price.

This has very tight mesh for all insects. I have a hammock with built in top net. But, there are a lot of mosquitos in some areas that can bite through the hammock material. This provides protection from the bottom without adding much weight. In cooler weather I use a bottom quilt for protection. The net is light weight at 7oz and compacts down to about the size of a soda can. It installs easily with reflective cord loops at both ends. The net is hung between the cord loops with shock cord. There are 4 toggles for hanging, but didn't work for me because I don't have tie offs at that location. The cord loops attach easily to my under quilt hooks. There are several means of adjusting.

Well, it's about time someone developed this simple, yet brilliant, idea!! If you are a hammock hanger you know how mosquitos and the rest of the biting bugs can get you through the very thin hammock material. For years we have had to either use a full encasement net assembly net, even if you had a bug net on the upper portion of the hammock. Or... install an underquilt, which is designed to trap heat and warm the hammock or use a mat that just never stays put. THIS is the perfect answer for hammocks with bug nets that are open underneath. The quality is about as expected for the price. Not top notch but way more than adequate for the job. Installation is a sinch, and I do mean "a sinch". Simply attach the cords at each end to the item you use to connect to the tree straps. There is an adjustment at each end and dowels on both sides to hoist the net up to hold to the hammock.All-in-all, this is such a brilliant idea and I am thankful that these people are offering it. Best of all... price is so very affordable..
