I had this scope mounted on my Ruger GP100 .357. I shot several hundred regular range load .357 ammo (Typically 158gr FMJ rounds) through my pistol without any problems. The scope maintained zero and accuracy without a problem. I use my pistol to hunt pigs and when I switched over to my hunting ammo, 180gr Hard Cast Gas Checked, the scope internals could not handle it after the 3rd round.IMO this still is a good scope. It handled standard load .357 rounds with no problem. It just couldn't handle the hotter loads.

We’ll at first it looked great and zeroed in easily, and the eye relief was nice but, this gun is definitely not rated for a .500 magnum. 1st shoot and it disintegrated the insides, maybe this works well for smaller guns like the .44 magnum, unfortunately I would not recommend it for big guns

Actually better than I expected. I didn't bother with mounts, from previous reviews I could see they weren't the greatest, so I ordered a set of inexpensive Vortex med rifle mounts to go with it. They worked great, I torqued them to around15 inch lbs with no issues. The scope has pretty decent clarity and brightness, even for my 73-year-old eyes, considering it's only a 20mm objective. It's not a Leupold, and buying an inexpensive scope is almost always a crapshoot, but for the money, it's a pretty good buy. The 4-star rating is because the turrets were really difficult to adjust. I actually had to use needle-nose pliers on the windage adjustment! There is no real discernable click on the adjustments, it's barely noticeable at all on the elevation and nonexistent on the windage. I might have gotten a "bad one" and was thinking about exchanging it for another one but after "noodling" around with it I was getting around an inch or so groupings at 50 yards in a 10-20 mile an hour gusting crosswind with a Ruger MKii target 6.75-inch barrel. I decided to keep it since I've already gone thru all the pain of leveling, boresighting, and torque adjustment. If it'll hold zero, and I would think it should since it's only mounted on a 22, I'm going to leave well enough alone!!

I have no big praise or big complaints about this scope. Solid purchase for the money. As others have mentioned, the crosshairs aren't perfect. For me they're slightly canted a couple degrees counter-clockwise. The scope rings are fine, and their matte silver aluminum finish visually matches well. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the lens covers, as they have clear plastic lenses that you can see through pretty clearly, while still protecting your actual glass scope lenses. Adjusting the sights was easy and intuitive, and it seems to hold zero well on my revolver. It feels plenty durable for 38 specials, but I'm not inclined to shoot much 357 Magnum with it, as the hard recoil does seem to scratch and mar the scope and its mount. Overall it's probably a 3-star product at a fair 4-star price.

I didnt expect much out if this when I bougut it but have been pleasantly surprised. I have it mounted on my .357 magnum and it actually holds zero. About 300 hot rounds through so far.Update: this little scope is still going strong. Used it for hunting on my taurus 627 this year.

I purchased this scope for my .22 Ruger Hunter MKIII. It came early, and I was immediately impressed before mounting it to my gun. I tossed the scope rings it came with, they are bulky, and crude, they will work, but are not ideal. Plan on using quality rings. The see through lens protectors are a nice touch as well.Once mounted and at the range, I had it dialed in after 10 shots. The finger adjustable turret screws were very sturdy, and really convenient. The optics are great and the eye relief is perfect for a slight bent arm stance. The focus is tight and smooth. After 250 shots it was holding true without any problems. I am completely impressed with this scope considering it's price. Not sure why I would need to spend $100+ on anything else.
