GREAT quality product. Easy to install, includes a ground wire. Returned because we prefer 1) a bit warmer white (this was not cold but a bit stark to go above our fireplace and mantle) and 2) more rotation capability that comes with an eyeball trim

This product is quite heavy and the retaining springs didn’t hold the light tightly to the ceiling. We returned them.

I had it installed in my bathroom, and it’s great! I don’t have anything to worry about.

For the price not bad. Can't tell you how long they will last for, but if it's even close to what the company claims then it will be a really good deal.

easy retrofit if you can save your existing can . my transformer went out on several hardwired can lights and i was able to slide these lights right in . ez and effective install now i'll just have to wait and see if they hold up as well as i think they will .

Great trim, very wide light pattern and very bright. The only problem I had with them was the supplied screw in adapter was too tall for the approved fixture can I used and the trim wouldn't sit tight to the ceiling, good thing I had some spares for other fixtures that were shorter.

This model is actually a close out item. I bought 6 at home depot but needed 4 more. Could only find on Amazon. The LEDs fit 5 and 6 inch cans. Just unscrew retainer at spring and push in. Tighten screw and ready for a 5 inch can. Springs are easily installed in can and hold the fixture tight to ceiling. Love the 3000K color and the gimbal which allows light to be directed wherever needed.

the price of these things is scary. i wanted something adjustable (~360* around and ~25* back/forth) that had the output and overall lighting surface size of a bigger bulb, but wanted something that would fit in a 4" can and had minimal trim. everything else out there that was comparable either used a tiny bulb and/or had trim that was oversized.the quality of the units themselves is pretty good. on some of them there is some debris (dark spots) in-between the lens surface and whatever is behind it, but it's minimal and doesn't interfere with the performance. i checked a bunch of them at Home Depot and they had it too. another note: these are slightly different than the ones at Home Depot, even though they have the same main part number. the HD ones had ceramic Edison adapters and had slightly lower power amperage for the power supply. the logo on the boxes at HD said Cooper Lighting whereas these from Amazon say Eaton. i also noticed that like those at Home Depot, only a few had the little black enclosure for the LED-to-Edison whip plug connection. not a big deal but questionable nonetheless.i mated it to Cooper/Eaton's DAL06P dimmer, as per Eaton and with both internal/side adjustment wheels turned all the way down, they perform FLAWLESSLY. they dim to almost nothing without any flicker and dimming action is absolutely superb en route to full blast. the overall output is amazing, the color temperature is bright white, no coolness detected, minimal but slight warmth, just bright white. these are way more powerful than i expected. i have eight of them in my ~540 sq. ft. sunken living room as the only sources of light and anything close to full blast is WAY too much. and the adjustability is so versatile. i didn't quite understand that they rotate almost completely while being stationary in the can. they work really well for lighting walls are bright enough to be main lighting as well as wall wash and accent lights - i have those closest to the corners three feet from each wall and if you aim them slightly into a corner, they illuminate the entire corner and both walls.i didn't use the Edison adapters as the cans i ordered on here from Four Bros. had orange LED connectors in them.i highly recommend these despite the small gripes with price and quality.

Very quick to install in an existing 4-inch recessed Halo can light, and the result is excellent. I replaced halogen lights in 4 cans in 5 minutes while waiting for my wife to apply makeup and I cleaned up, too! She was very surprised by the result. After all it is the light that counts in the end.Halogen bulbs have the irritating habit of getting dimmer and yellower as they age. I replaced the four bulbs before they died. I did not expect these new LED bulbs to be even brighter than brand-new halogen bulbs. They are. This is largely due to the fact that HALO cans rated for direct insulation contact (IC models) with tilt-mounted bulbs require a lower wattage bulb (45 Watts max). These HALO LED replacements are so much cooler running they can be brighter than the halogen. I can tell the difference in heat when I stand under them. The tilt adjustment is also improved over the halogen fixture, so the fact that the cans were a bit close to the wall when using Halogen bulbs was resolved with excellent results by these LED fixtures. As to installation, there is one slightly painful step. Mostly it is obvious: turn off the light, let it cool, remove the old trim, bulb, and old tilt fixture, screw in the new converter pigtail, attach the ground wire to the can, connect the power pigtails, push the wires and new fixture up into the can, paying attention to the pivot direction so that the light will be directed properly. Turn on the light. The painful step is connecting the ground wire. The instructions have several methods, depending upon the model of can you have. For me, with the IC can, the only workable method is to use the supplied sheet-metal screw to fasten the lug on the end of the ground wire to the inside of the can. This required me to drill a 3/32" through the side of the can as far up inside as the drill (and the screwdriver) will reach, about 1 1/2 inches up. This places the screw and wire out of the way of the new light. The kit also provides a screw and nut (installed on the lug at the end of ground wire) that must be removed before any installation work. On the 13 cans I have reinstalled LED lights all of these screws were very tight. So, I used the following tools:Battery-powered drill3/32 inch high-speed steel twist drill bit (to drill the hole)Phillips screw driver (to remove the screw installed in the ground lug)Nut driver (to hold the nut for loosening and to install the sheet metal screw)And my hand.I mention the last as a bit of a warning. There are sharp edges up in the can and make small cuts in your fingers. The same can be true of the old trim and tilt fixture. If you hands are sensitive I would consider gloves of any sort. Rubber gloves also help shield your hands from heat if the old fixture is on when you decide to change it.One other mention: these are tilting fixtures, not gimbal. Gimbals have two rings with pivots, such that something mounted inside can tilt in any direction. These tilt in only two directions, directly opposite each other. Be sure when pushing the new fixture into the can that tilt points the correct direction. The spring barbs that hold the fixture into the can are not super easy to move.

The lights were an excellent replacement for the 13 year old can lights! We removed the springs that were attached to the light and installed and utilized the clips that were provided so the light would fit in our existing cans that are installed in the ceiling. We found that the cans that were originally installed were not calked around the outside of the can, so we removed the old lights, capped both the negative and positive wires, and allowed the calk to dry for two days. When you install the new lights with the clips, take your time and make sure the clips are in the metal can and not on the edge of the can. The lights are very bright, so we advise you to purchase and install dimmer switches, which work great. We highly recommend the purchase and use of the lights, which has helped modernize our kitchen, dinning area, and living areas.
