This is a nice trim option for Halo's H99T, H99RT, and H99ICT fixtures. Halo's Coilex construction consists of a screw-type thread molded into the baffle that looks nice and does a better job of eliminating stray light than a regular step-type thread would. Note that you can purchase an optional socket extender (#H1999) if you want to use a 50-watt PAR20 bulb with this trim. --Josh Dettweiler

A company came to remodel my basement and accidentally broke one of my light trims/baffles. I didn't think I would find an exact replacement but luckily this is a perfect match. It fit perfectly and even matched the color of the original ones. Great quality material as well.

Exactly what I needed for my outside soffits. This is the all plastic baffle. Some of the reviewers consider this a cheaper one and wanted the one that was metal. If you live in an area that is near the coast or have high humidity DO NOT get a metal one, opt for the plastic one. My new house had metal ones and they all rusted in less than 2 years. I've now replaced them all with this plastic one. One has been up for a year and still looks brand new. Have no idea why new construction on the coast would use metal ones. I do live in Florida near the coast and ocean salt spray. The attached picture shows this new item on the left, one that has been up for one year in the middle and the original metal one that has been up for 2 years that is being replaced. You decide.

I cannot understand why these trim pieces are so expensive but they fit well and snap right in. Once you install the fixtures, these are the only trim that will fit. And they fit fine and finish the job nicely.

These are the exact same product you would find at HD just a lot cheaper! We needed 6 and just couldn't stand the idea of spending $150 for a decorative covering! Found these and spent almost half the price! The reason for 4 stars is the black interior. It dilutes the light a little so being on 4" you need bright spot lights in order to get the correct light you are expecting. Forget LED lights with these. Not enough light.

A neat, clean, bright finish to my new recessed lighting in my renovated kitchen. They are so clean and snug -- I brought a couple as replacements for some existing lights. They ended up $2-3 less expensive ($16.50 ea w/tax) on Amazon vs. what my contractor wanted to charge me. I opted to order from Amazon (Prime) and receive them in 2 days. Delivery was on-time, and the savings worth the wait.
