Part is not a direct replacement for the original part on a FX-601 soldering ironThe tube is a smaller diameter and a little shorter than the original part on the FX-601 soldering iron

The B3730 is the exact same as the one on the FX-600. It will only hold T18 tips.From a search : "The Hakko B3730 is a nut and tip enclosure for use with FX-601 soldering iron to convert your T19 Series tip into a T18 Series Tip."To convert the FX-600 to accept the larger T19 tips, you'll need the B3720 version.I will keep this product since it is worthwhile to have a spare, but please correct the description.

Item received appears to be just a standard 8801 sleeve and nut, not the larger sleeve that fits T19 tips. I mean, my T19 tips DO NOT fit in it, I think that's a dead giveaway that while the packaging is labeled correctly, the actual part itself is wrong.If you wish to fit T19 tips on your FX-8801, the CORRECT Hakko part is B5122

This will fit the FX600 but will only fit the T18 tips, not the T19 tips
