It did take five hours to install properly though. Looks great. I get more compliments on it than anything else in my house.

Perfect if you like to keep your guitars handy for playing and also keeping tabs on the humidity. The hangar is sturdy and good looking. Easy to install and holds any size guitar. When you hang guitars on the wall, it's a good idea to keep track of the humidity in the room. This is fit for the purpose.Good deal.

A bit challenging to install, but all in all very solid.

So, this is one of those REALLY annoying things with Amazon reviews where they lump a bunch of different products into a single shared review rating. Most of the 5-star reviews here are based on the five hanger set. This single hanger has hole displacements that are horizontal, not vertical. This means you CANNOT successfully anchor both holes into a stud, and for how expensive my guitars are, I am NOT about to take that risk. Will be sending back

I have a lot of guitars, and up until now, I did not have a way to check the humidity levels in the room where I keep them all. Now, with this guitar wall hanger, and the humidity monitor built right in, I can keep an eye on the moisture in the air with a simple glance behind my guitar. The guitar does block the meter when it is there, but you can see it clearly when you remove the guitar from the hanger, or just peek behind it. The hanger seems pretty sturdy, but there is one thing that I don't like. The way the hanger screws in to the base is a little weird, where you cannot really tighten it because then the hanger portion might be sideways, so you have to leave it a little loose. There is this plastic cover piece that doesn't adjust anything, it just seems to cover the screw you screw into the base. However, it all works as it should, and I still think it is a major help in keeping my guitars in good condition.

Review for QJXX Guitar Wall Mount Hangers with Humidity Monitoring, Black Walnut Wood Guitar Wall Rack Hanger. This hanger's base is better than most other guitar hangers that I have tried. Their bases are plastic with a gap behind the screws, which means that you risk breaking the base when you install it.This hanger has a flat base, so you don't scratch up your wall more than required, and the pressure is evenly distributed so that the hanger doesn't fall off of the wall.Additionally, you get the bonus of the humidity gauge, which will let you know if you need a dehumidifier in your guitar room. The hook part is the standard padded hook with a flange on the end to keep the guitar from falling off of the hook. However, this hook actually tights up at the correct resting point. With my other hangers, there is some looseness left, so that the hook turns and swivels easily after installation. This hook doesn't have that problem.I never use the included wall anchors, as they are always too short and too light weight. This product also has that problem. You want longer screws, so that you can hit a wall stud behind the sheetrock. If you can't hit a wall stud, then you will want to purchase different anchors that are made to hold up more weight. I advise to invest in better screws and anchors for your guitar hanger in order to protect your expensive guitar. I didn't deduct any stars for the screws, as every wall-mounted product seems to suffer from this same problem. My one complaint is that the screw holes are not vertical. I would like to be able to secure the guitar hanger on a stud. With the screw placement, you can currently only hit one wall stud, and the other screw will need a wall anchor. If the screw holes were vertical, then I would be able to hit a wood stud on both anchor points.Because of the wood base, the non-swivel hook, and the humidity gauge, I am giving this guitar hook 5 stars. The problems that I listed seem to be present on most guitar hooks of this style.

The look of this hanger is nice, and I like that the hanger piece screws into the base with a metal bolt screwed into a metal receiver. That should add proper support for the weight of most guitars. For me (and I mean this for any guitar hanger, not this one specifically), I would not trust a drywall anchor with a guitar, given the weight of the guitar and any damage that might happen if the guitar drops, both to the guitar and whatever is under / around it. I will only be using screws into studs. The included screws extend about 3/4 out the back of the hanger.I'm not sure that the humidity measure is very helpful... it isn't readable with a guitar in the hanger. But it does make the hanger look fancier. For anything other than a Steinberger (a headless guitar) this should be a nice hanging solution.
