This is second guitar I bought to play Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock to replace my old guitar, and it paired well.

Product arrived on January 24th and I began using it yesterday afternoon (Jan. 26) and after less than 4 hours of use the Wii remote adapter cable has already been bent in a way where it is not connecting nor functional anymore. This guitar’s remote slot is way too small to fit a standard Wii remote within it while connected to the adapter without forcing the cable to bend and eventually losing connection all together rendering the guitar pointless.

I’m using this in combination with a third-party Wiimote & a Dolphin Bar to play Guitar Hero 3, emulated on a Retroid Pocket 5. It works perfectly. Great product

So I'll admit that right out of the box this guitar is a 2 out of 5. The fret buttons are absolutely awful, they take a decent amount of pressure to press and they just feel mushy, HOWEVER, if you do the silicone cutting trick the buttons do a complete reversal and actually feel and work quite decently. So then after that the only real complaint that I have and I can't believe I have to say this for a Chinese knock off guitar is that the strum bar is a little TOO sensitive. Basically, if you apply the slightest pressure to the strum it will recognize it as an input (the input especially goes off before you hear the clicking noise that indicates the strum.) I'm honestly a little blown away how this thing can perform I was expecting it to be complete trash (my assumptions were at first confirmed right out of the box), but it gives a solid performance. With all this being said though I've only been using it for a few days and who knows how long it will last, but on the bright side on that when it does go I'll definitely try and give it a second life and attempt to mod it instead of buying a whole new guitar. I will note that I'm using it for clone hero and also bought the Elecom game pad converter and had no issues with mapping buttons.

I was excited about this guitar to add to my GH collection. It was less money than the GH one, and I can see why. While it looks similar, once it is plugged into a wii remote, its functionality reflects its price. The wii started frantically scrolling through some menu I've never even seen before! The high speed scrolling stopped as soon as the remote was unplugged from the guitar. Plugged it back in.......right back to crazy town! Do yourself a favor, just spend the extra cash and buy the genuine one.
