This product is not worth the price, it is very thin metal fits loosely in the track, only one of the pieces is secured into the track the other has no way to be secured and is slides all over the place. I bought to fit into my Makita brand tracks.not satisfied

I bought this to cut plywood down to size and it's so much easier than any other system I've tried. The extension allows me to rip 8'+ lengths and still stays true, even with the joint in the middle. Had one poorly tapped setscrew hole and I'd have made setscrew 2 or 3 mm longer, but still got great results right off the bat! Much cheaper than buying the long version!

This set expands just like the Makita connecting bars. Each connector comes with an allen key, four set screws plus a spare so you have two spares in case you loose one. That shouldn't happen as it's easy to keep these locked under the track when not in use.

There are a couple of things to note with this rail connector. First, you need two sets of them -- one goes on the underside of the rail, the other on the top side. In the photos you see two pieces, but that represents a single set. Getting two sets helps to stabilize the rail at the connection point.Second, the thinner piece of the two-part set is too long. The thin piece (has only one hole in it) should fit between the two nubs on the thicker piece (the part where the screws go). Out of the box, the thinner piece is too long and will not fit between the nubs, making it impossible to insert into the guide rails. Cut off .75 to 1 in of the thinner piece so it fits between the nubs and you're set.Lastly, this doesn't do a great job of aligning the two tracks, most do not. If you are willing to spend a little extra $$$, try out the TSO GRC-12 which is for self-aligning rail connectors.

We installed this connector on our Powertec track saw track. It slid smoothly into place and fit snugly. The set screws fit well and tighten the connector firmly in place on both track sections. The resulting connection was solid, true and straight. A well-designed, quality tool.

This product is made from quality materials but some fine details are missed. The set as stated included only two pieces. The full Makita set includes four pieces. Two sets of 4 total pieces are needed to properly secure the two rails together. In addition, the male tab on one piece does not fit within the hole on the mating piece. This is due to poor tolerance control of both features. I sent the system back and purchased the Makita correct system.
