Unit is well made except for the rachet. It really is a piece of junk. The rubber handle cover just slips off while in use and the rachet itself is very difficult to use. You have to hold the rachet lock in place while using it, that waste time.

The hitch comes in a box full of several pieces so you have to put it together. The only instructions consist of a small picture of the way the parts go together and a list of the parts included but no explanation as to what each one is or where it goes. After a lot of searching on the internet I gave up on finding anything else. Emails to Guide Gear went unanswered so no help there either. I found pictures of the hitch taken at different angles and basically had to use them to figure out what went where. Three hours later and I still haven’t gotten the thing put together. The slots where the ratchet and the adjustable bar are supposed to fit are about 1/16th of an Inch too narrow and the steel will not bend. I can’t figure out how to get the ratchet or adjustable bar to fit inside the designated slots. I don’t think they ever will. At this point, I am not sure what to do. I really wanted this to work but now I think the best thing I can do is take it all apart and send it back. I really hate that.Update - I kept it and wish I hadn’t. The ratchet rusted in less than a month. Can’t raise or lower the rake at all. This is the BIGGEST PIECE OF JUNK - don’t waste your money. The only thing I can think of that would be harder to do is have sex in a cactus garden n

This fits under a fill size Ranger pretty nicely, but does hit the tailgate when raising high. It is good, but the ratchet seems really cheap and it takes a while because you will get like one click before hitting the muffler. It handles heavy stuff well and you can put downward force if you want. I’ve directly mounted digging tines to loosen dirt. These exert a lot of force, but this does fine with it.

From a welders standpoint I was very impressed.the description is wrong its 3/16 tube not 14 gauge.sides are 3/8 very heavy duty.cant wait to use it

Bought this and guide gear atv box blade to grade driveway with. This system works good but the ratchet that comes with it is not strong enough.
