The number 1 purpose of these is to lock the throttle, it does that great. The number 2 purpose of these is to lock it where you left it, this is not good at that. The construction is a little flimsy, which means when you engage the lock, it flexes and you start losing speed. If you adjust for this and lock with a little more throttle it works great. The paint on the metal is not the best quality, it starts to flake off after a few weeks of regular use. Overall, if you're on a tight budget, it gets the job done for highway rides. But if you can afford something nicer, like one that slips in between the grip and the bar, go with that one

I don’t write many reviews, but this device is great. Installed on ‘02 Harley Ultra. The screw was just where they said to install. I used the first spacer and tightened everything. A couple of minor adjustments and this thing is great. It’ll hold speed and not slip, IF you have normal rubber grips like I have. I use this way more that the cruise control on my Harley.

Installation was pretty straight forward. After installing, the alignment and adjustments are critical for safety reasons. So spend as much time as it takes to get this part right.After it is Installed with proper alignment and tension adjustments, it held great and became I made sure that the tension band was not to tight, I am able to make small adjustments to the throttle without releasing the band and it holds to where I twist it to. I've used it several times on the highway since. Nice to give your right hand a break from holding all that spring tension.

Wouldn't work on my 84 Honda. Modified it to install, but the rubber spacers (2) that grip the throttle were either too thick or too thin. Unusable.

These did not work at all on my bike. I was constantly readjusting my speed. Definitely don’t use riding in a pack

The cruise control works just fine with a slight modification but the appearance is less than appealing. The reason for the 3 star review isn't based on how it performs but rather how it looks. I also had to purchase longer set screws for the part that locks to the grip. The screw hole that mounts to the switch housing had to be drilled out on mine not a major issue but the metal is thin and is easily bent so be careful if you must drill yours out. Again it works great just appearance and I guess I would say craftsmanship are the reasons for a lower ratingUpdate so I'm going to up the ratings to 4 stars because it absolutely works great.. Recently took a 400 mile road trip and without this device it would have been horrible

Our Harley has special handlebars so this item did not fit our Harley. Quality of product is very good. Arrived in a timely fashion. I would order from this vendor again.

I however modified it to work on my GL1500 as the cruse control isn’t working for now. Got it to work with minimum effort. Some custom stainless steel brackets and a longer screw on the thumb leaver. Custom bending, And it worked out ok.
