This is the perfect tool for the discerning hipster like me. I hide my insecurities by being over discerning on everything. This tool is no exception. Its made of a piece of scrap wood with a china quality file wedged into it with a leather holder. But what I will tell all my friends when I whip it out at our local artisanal coffee shop, that this is a Gransfors Bruk, Swedish heirloom quality tool crafted in the echoing forests of Scandinavia. Some say, these were the exact same files used by vikings to sharpen their axes. Forged from Swedish ore, struck over a thousand times to form the complext shape of the file, this tool will bring your manliness to new heights.Because I'm allergic to trees and outdoors, next time I put my flannel and tidy my beard, I will be sure to bring this tool with me because you never know if a pencil needs filing or touching up.

It's rather expensive, especially given its small size, but it works really well. I was surprised to see how keen an edge that it put on a dull axe in only seconds. The wooden handle makes for safer use, much better than the other diamond sharpeners that I looked at.

Incredibly overpriced. The sharpener is just glued into a cheap handle. It sharpens just as good as any other diamond sharpener. I put some linseed oil on the handle to darken it up a bit and make it look better. Don't be a victim like me. It's also very small (the sharpener).

I have a little $20 Felco diamond-grit sharpener for my pruners that works fab. So I thought this would be good to accompany the new maul I bought as a gift. It probably is good, but I am quite surprised at how tiny it is for the price-$85!. I feel cheated bc it is so small! It's about 6 inches in all and I was expecting it to be a big, manly size. For the money they could have at least put a little leather string on the sheath. Will probably feel better about it when we actually use it. Perhaps the small size is for people who take their axes out into the woods and need to keep the sharpener in their pack.
