Used it a lot now. It is fantastic. A gamechanger for the hammock. I do wish it had stronger zipper, color options and that a super thick late winter version was available. I'll probably get another. Grand trunk should greatly expand its offerings. Good stuff

Great accessory for hammock camping, but definitely not the highest quality amongst its competitors. Good as a budget friendly purchase while I figure out my hammock set-up, it's gotten me through chilly nights but I wouldn't trust it in truly cold conditions.

First the pros:Thermaquilt did provide the insulation to prevent "cold butt" and the cocoon styling provided comfortable warmth on a 40 degree night with just wearing lightweight lounge pants and a t'shirt with a lightweight blanket. Didn't feel a need to put up bug net this site wasn't really buggy and planned on sleeping within the cocoon. Attaching was easy after video review however probably could have done without. Now for the cons:Didn't inspect before trip but at set up discovered stitching not complete at one spot..appears sewing machine ran out of thread. Zipper is ok but must be careful of catching material as zippering the material is very thin and I'm sure if caught would result in a tear had to carefully zip and unzip to prevent snagging. Material not a sturdy parachute material much thinner than hammock material.Overall:Materials very thin lightweight perfect for backpacking. Sturdiness will be determined overtime. It provided the warmth expected and would maybe perform at lower temps with a sleeping bag however the insulation fiber is very thin. Looks very nice at site on hammock zipped up during day gives a nice neat appearance. Feel compared to a regular under quilt it's 360 coverage it's performance is a great idea but for the thinness of the material, the zipper snagging and the poor quality control the price may be a little too high so value is lacking a little. Maybe $40-$50 for the great design idea, at the price paid expected a material a little heavier weight, a slighter denser fiber fill and better quality control. Longevity performance we will see overtime I will update in the future.

I had only used this one time, and when I opened it up to use it the second time, the cinch cord on one end had broken from where it starts inside the quilt which is not repairable and makes the quilt unhelpful in the cold since it can’t trap heat. I emailed grand trunk through the website but have yet to hear from them.

I used this as my sleeping bag with my hammock set up for a 100 mile solo hike. It’s lightweight, warm, well designed, easy to use, etc. Zero complaints. All around great product, 10/10 would recommend and have.

Took this out on a guys camping trip on the Olympic Peninsula in the PNW. Dug some holes and posted driftwood to hang the hammock. Slept on the beach. Kept me toasty all night even with the offshore wind. Highly recommend

We combined this with a Get Out Gear down camping blanket to use as a top quilt and the combination has worked well at temperatures down to 40F, wearing just a base layer at night. The Thermoquilt and top quilt weigh right at 3 pounds total. The Thermaquilt does a good job as a wind sock, and in moderate temperatures would work well by itself. It’s large enough that it will fill in around you and not leave excessive air space, at least with our ENO single hammocks. The 40 degree F rating is realistically a survival rating more than a comfort rating unless you are fully dressed and/or using a puffy jacket. However, it can also be left zipped and doubled up under the hammock as an under quilt while using a heavier top quilt or sleeping bag for colder temps down into the 20F range.
