I've primarily used it for bending softer metals like copper and brass, and it works like a charm. I haven't tried it with stainless steel yet, but I imagine it would require a bit more effort.Overall, I'm thrilled with this purchase. This set is clearly high quality, professional grade from the moment you take it out of the box. All of the materials you need to create sized rings, or bend other metal into certain radius rings is included, except of course for the metal. It even comes with hardware to secure this set to a workbench.

This is a really good quality ring bender at a fantastic price. This is best for lighter-weight, soft metals. I would not recommend it for bending stainless steel spoons, but it would be perfect for annealed sterling rings and 18g and thinner metal sheet and wire. To get the best results you must screw this onto your work bench, otherwise the tool will be moving around while you are trying to bend your metal. It comes with both steel and nylon plastic dies which is perfect for hard and soft metals.
