Solid reeds, they perform well. Offers a clear crisp sound, slightly brighter than regular classical but not as bright as other reeds. I was very impressed. Out of the box the reeds are consistant. I get most of them to play out of the box, or you can adjust them with a blade to your liking with minimal effort. Great value for the cost.
