I bought the kids a used, non-running kart at a yard sale. We made it a project to learn about repairs, maintenance and responsibilities. The paint supplies, bolts and a side crank engine I bought at the local hardware store. I couldn’t find a replacement throttle spring or throttle cable, so bought this complete kit to ensure everything fit and functioned for safety. The cable is adjustable, and includes barrel nuts. Each pedal arm has holes, which I needed for the brake pedal to install a bracket for the hydraulic connection. There are a few cable ties included, but I recommend mounting the cable more securely to the frame. After a few weeks the kids learned a lot, we spent time together, and these pedals helped transform a project into a neighborhood runner.

The pedals and cable are well made. These will work perfect on my DIY go kart. The cable even came lubed ready to go and the pedals came with return springs. Overall, the kit seems perfect and came with everything needed.
