These glow sticks do exactly what they say they’ll do - they glow for about 30 minutes. I noticed a marked degradation of the light output at about 25 minutes, but for the first 15-20 minutes, these are some of the brightest sticks I’ve seen. Each stick comes with a small pieces of string, about 2 ft long, that you can put through one end of the stick (which is a hook) and tie onto anything you want. I’m impressed by the brightness, at least for about 20-25 minutes.

These things are so bright, I had to look away when I cracked it.Compared to a dollar store generic glow stick, there is no comparison. This one was infinitely brighter. If you need an exceptionally bright, short-duration light- this is your jam.Lasts maybe 20 minutes, completed dead in 35.

These glows sticks are amazingly bright. Enough to light up a whole room. They don't last that long, maybe half a n hour but they are great to keep in emergency kits. I definitely will keep a few in the car. Much more powerful than the cheap ones made for kids.

Glow sticks like these are always great to have on hand, especially for emergencies, or even just for camping, backyard bonfires, etc. These aren't toys, they are very bright and last quite awhile.

I would not recommend these glow sticks for use in an emergency kit, for several reasons:First, the 30 minute run time makes me scratch my head. Sure, you MIGHT only need 30 minutes of light. But emergencies requiring light often last longer, and there are plenty of other options that provide good light for at least 12 hours. If you don’t need light for that long, you can just put the long running ones out of sight. But if you need light for more than 30 minutes and you’re using these, you are out of luck.Second, there’s no manufacture or expiration date printed on the wrappers. The claimed shelf life of this product is 4 years, and that’s typical. But 4 years from when? There’s just no way to tell, so you won’t know when it’s time to swap these out of your kit. This means you’ll either swap them early, which is a waste of money, or you run the risk of waiting too long, and have them fail on you when you need them. And finally, these cost about 50% more per stick than other, better options that you can find on Amazon. And many of those better priced options have manufacture and expiration dates printed on their wrappers, and last for 12 hours. For all of those reasons I’d look elsewhere for emergency glow sticks. The only case I can see for getting these would be non-emergency applications where you want this particular orange color, and don’t need more than 30 minutes run time.

These are high-intensity glow sticks that are for short-term use like road flares, signaling for help, power outages, etc. The light does degrade slowly and after 30 minutes it decreases fairly rapidly. These, along with the green ones that last 5 minutes are going in all of my vehicles and emergency kits!

SUPER BRIGHT! I have never seen a chem light this bright before. Works for the rated 30 minutes and then rapidly decreases in brightness. It continued to stay lit for several hours at much diminished light level. These things are awesome! I got the orange ones.
