This stuff is the best line I’ve ever used. This is my 8-9th roll and I’ll never go back! It GLIDES off the rod. You can sling micro baits for a half mile. I simply love this stuff! Tough as braid but thing as a couple hairs.

I haven't run this line for very long - only a few weeks of frequent outings. This line definitely casts farther, retrieves very smooth through the guides, and is extremely sensitive. The mixed reviews are very likely due to the one big quirk this line has, it is EXTREMELY knot friction sensitive. You essentially can't use any knot that sinches down any length. This works fine with me as it will hold an FG knot well to a leader and I 100% of the time am using a leader.I tied a few Alberto knots, a couple of uni knots and had the line snap well bellow what I would expect about 50% of the time.As far as fishing abrasion resistance I fish rock jetties a lot and have only had to cut off and retie my leader once after noticing some loose fibers. If this line was a little bit cheaper, it would be a no-brainer for me. The smoothness on the retrieve and the casting distance I get for the strength is fantastic, I can deal with the quirks easily. Even still it's my current favorite line - I'll need to try something higher end like Varivas next.

Originally, I Gave this product 5 stars a few weeks ago. The first 3 times I went fishing the line performed extremely well. It casts a mile. However, on my 4th trip or so, I noticed the line fraying and separating in half. The line appeared to be flat and started looking like dental floss. The line literally came apart in 2 and was totally flat. I thought that maybe it was a defective spool of line. However, I had other spools and reapplied the line to my other reels and I had the same exact problems after a few fishing trips. As a result, I changed my 5 star rating to a 1 star rating. Trust me, you'll see after a few fishing trips, it'll separate and be flat! It's junk!Stay away from this stuff. It's literally junk unless if you want to use it 1 to 3 times.I'm going back to old reliable suffix 832!

Found this line from YouTube. It casts super smooth but doesn’t hold up to abrasion. Went back to suffix 832

I tried the 18 lb Gliss for the first time. I was surprised that all 150 yards fit on my reel. This line is extremely thin. Almost to the point of being too thin. It is hard to handle. Hard to tie knots. The end tends to fray when tying. See photo. Just handling the line and it tends to separate. On the positive side, I can cast a mile with this stuff. But, the line is so light that I had two instances where the line somehow hooked itself on an eyelet and it stopped abruptly when casting The line snapped and my leader and lure ended up in the lake. After a couple times, I was done with this line. Not to give up on the Gliss, I bought a spool of the 40 lb test. This line is easier to handle and tie. Not as thin as the 18 lb stuff, but, still plenty thin. This line casts just as well as the 18 lb stuff.I have noticed that the green coating does tend to wear off and it changes from a dark green to a light green. This line is plenty strong. Have caught a few nice bass and northern with this stuff. Hooked an underwater branch and pulled it in with no problems. I have noticed a couple knicks in the line near my leader. Will have to watch that carefully and cut the end off and retie the leader every so often.I miss my nanofil, but, overall, will stick with this Gliss line and see how it performs as we get into summer.

Just tired it for the first time and I have to say it's amazing. The casting distance is unbelievable and the sensitivity is out of this world. I was a die hard nanofil guy. I found out it has been discontinued. Heard about this line and figured why not. I wasn't disappointed at all. Highly recommend it.And remember reel on

This is a very thin slick line that will easily add to your distance. If you don't use the right knot it will cost you lures and fish. I use the right knots and have never had a problem. I have been using it for the 4 years now for myself and my clients (I have been a Fishing Guide going on 30 years). It will not last as long as PowerPro and most often I use the 25lb test (lighter than that and it won't last a season) and swap it out yearly. I use it in both fresh and salt. When I tie direct (topwater at night) I use a Double Palmar Knot, if I am using a leader I tie a Bimini and loop on a Ball Bearing Swivel. This line is not for everyone and not for every application, but if you need distance in open water or to hold bottom with less weight this line will do it and do it well. Next few weeks I will be casting to Bonita and False Albicor and it will get me more fish with the extra distance it give me!

This has been my finesse line for 4 years and I see no reason to change. Exceptionally manageable, no memory, no stretch, sensitive, thin. You need to tie a good knot, and not all knots work equally well. Being thin for its rating, I do not go below 18/24#: you get more strength and durability + it is easier to tie.

Excelente línea, en verdad permite incrementar considerablemente la distancia de lance. Quedé muy satisfecho y volveré a comprar sin duda esta marca.

I have fished with the 40lb version on five outings. I troll slow for pickerel, but use an aggressive quick snapping and pause technique. Braid does not hold up with out breaking off, and mono and Fluorocarbon stretch way too much.....This Gliss holds up and no stretch, mind you that is with the 40lb version. I have not broken off any lures as of yet, seen a little fraying and nicks but cut off a section and re tied, after catching a few fish or a good lengthy troll rubbing the rocky bottom. I will definitely buy this line, not for all my rods but, for sure this type of fishing.Next test it for musky fishing!!!!! Where it will get more abuse!!!!! But I am confident in using it at this point!
