I'm very pleased with my purchase! It's sleek and modern and a nice size for family gatherings. The glass is thick enough that I don't worry about breaking it when handling it when serving or washing it. I've used it for salads but I can see it being used for other purposes like for desserts since it makes a pretty display dish.

This is a LARGE salad bowl. If you need to serve salad to 20 people, this may be the salad bowl for you. We feel it is too big for everyday usage with a small family.The bowl itself looks beautiful with the wooden base. Unfortunately, the glass and wood are separate pieces that cannot be attached or screwed on. The glass merely rests on top of the wood base which makes passing the salad bowl around the table a bit confusing and impractical.The utensils are enormous and a bit clunky to use. However, the bowl makes a satisfying "ding" sound every time you hit the side of the bowl, and the spoon can be used as a ping pong paddle.The bowl arrived in excellent condition with secure packaging. No dings or scratches. Overall, it is a high quality, beautiful bowl with a couple impractical features.

I really love this salad bowl set. I have come to realize that clear salad serving bowls work better because it's much easier to tell what's in the salad And looks more appetizing on the table.I love that this one has a nice wood base but that it's detachable so the bowl can still go in the dishwasher.It has matching tongs to go with it. The only part I don't like is the tongs are not long enough to rest on the edge of the bowl without falling in.The glass is actually a reasonable weight and good for the price point. The color of the wood on the serving spoons is great. I wish the wood on the bottom of the salad bowl was a little closer to that, but it still works.
