I make homemade wine, so sometimes I have an overabundance of empty wine bottles that I've moved to the 'not gonna use' pile, opting to gift them to people who are making bottle trees or filling them with fairy lights for wedding receptions and whatnot. I decided I *needed* a bottle cutter to add another layer to my crafty ways - this one does the trick! Fairly easy to use, cuts the bottles perfectly, and I really appreciated the included gloves - I can be a klutz more often than not, so keeping my digits safe was appreciated. 😉 Now I can turn those rejected bottles into candles or something else. Highly recommend!

I was a little hesitant getting this I’ve never cut glass and was afraid it would be sharp and cut myself with the finished product. We used this on cutting wine bottles and work great. Ended with a smooth cut. Doesnt look like much but it worked fine ,we made flower pots to start plants with so glad I got.

Simple and easy to use. Well made; Makes a good, smooth cut. The gloves are an added bonus. Perfect for small bottles like wine or beer bottles- versatile. Good value.

This was very easy to use. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. I was impressed that the cutter did not slip on the countertop that I was using as a work surface. My first attempt took about 10 trips between the hot and cold water baths, but I still ended up with a relatively clean separation. I'm sure I'll get better with more practice.

As much as I wanted this tool to work, I found it to be frustrating and useless for my craft work.This bottle cutter supports only longer bottles such as those from wine. You cannot cut quart mason jars, mayonnaise jars, tall olive jars, and certainly not small bottles such as those from relish or maraschino cherries. There is an adjustable ‘end brace’ whose attaching screw prevents it from used to support smaller bottles. The screw fits only when the upright brace is facing to the left. Flip it around, as suggested in the instructions, the brace fits in the track but you cannot attach the screw to hold the brace in position.To score the circumference and end where the score begins, the bottle must have support under its working length. With this unit, the second set of rollers is so far from the first that bottles such as those mentioned above are sitting on the curved base of the bottle bottom. They then are at an angle. In this position, operating pressure will vary as the bottle is turned for cutting. Even long neck beer bottles were not stabilized for cutting.Working with wine bottles the issue was the cutter itself. It skips and wobbles in its track. No effort to tighten the wing nut would resolve the issue.I’m disappointed that cutter could not be used to make rings for chimes or votives and vases of pretty bottles. It’s back to string and lighter fluid method, for me.
