GREAT LITTLE WINDSCREEN!One of the few options that I found to be practical for a Triumph Speed Twin 1200.Believe me, I've tried more than Amazon would have liked me to!Sorry about that Amazon, but if some things don't fit, I guess they just don't fit. This windshield fits great, but needs a small modification for the second generation Triumph Speed Twin 1200.The following link Will take you to the silicone feet that I used to mount The windscreen properly. The adjuster that's designed into the brackets will not work on a second generation Triumph Speed Twin 1200.See silicone feet:https://a.co/d/2sIoRzZThese silicone feet are perfect for allowing the windscreen to rest against the twin instrumentation. This will probably be your best choice on any motorcycle with twin instrumentation.Tips:ATTENTION!!!Do not follow the included instruction sheet verbatim, as there are changes to be made for the Triumph Speed Twin 1200.Attach the mounting hardware to the windshield as per included instructions.Disregard the adjustable stop that goes into the oblong hole.Do not mount the windshield brackets between the headlight bracket and headlight as shown in the included instruction sheet! This will not work!On a second generation Triumph Speed Twin 1200, you must mount the windshield brackets to the outside of the headlight brackets! You will need longer headlight bolts and some spacers to go under the head of the bolt so that the bracket of your windshield does not contact your headlight bracket directly.Spacers should provide the space needed. There are battery spacers available for motorcycles that should work perfectly. You may even have some in your junk drawer! My spacers extend about 1/8 of an inch beyond flush with the headlight brackets.Hence, my brackets are spaced 1/8 of an inch from contacting the headlight bracket. If they make contact, you're going to end up with a mangled up mess to look at later on, should you decide to take your windshield off!Any hardware store should have these things. After you've acquired the bolts and spacers.I used stainless steel machine screws with tapered collars and same diameter washers under the heads because they looked cleaner.Personal choice here.Attach the windscreen to your headlight bolts on the outer side of the headlight brackets and spacers, not inside the headlight bracket as is shown in the instructions.Remember this is for a Speed Twin 1200.Make sure the brackets are seated all the way down on the bolt so the windscreen is square with the world.Once seated all the way to the bottom, snug up your bolts so you can tilt your windshield with a little bit of tension. At this point, do not remove the backing from the adhesive on the feet.Once the windscreen is in place, take the longest silicone feet and place them between the windscreen and your instrumentation what the windscreen pressing against them so they don't fall down. You should have enough tension on headlight bolts for this step.Center them as best you can so they look like they're at a 90° angle to the point where they contact the instrumentation. Then, using the upper lip on your instrumentation as a guide, bring the feet up to where it contacts the lip and everything is squared up with the windscreen.Again, make sure the windshield is pressed backward enough to hold them in place.Once the feet are pressed up against that ridge on the instrumentation, run a piece of masking tape across the outside of the windscreen in line with both the top of the silicone feet, and the bottom of the silicone feet, so the silicone feet fall within that channel for marking.Take a marker and mark the centers of your feet on the outside of your windscreen.Once I got them where I thought they were very close to where they should be, I then applied some outdoor carpet tape to the backs of two pennies and trimmed them so the tape was flush with the edge of the pennies. Then as a marker, on the outside of the windscreen, I placed the pennies in place to mark the locations of the silicone feet on the inside of the windscreen. This is where you remove the windscreen and bring it inside the house to warm up if it's winter.I used a Taylor's cloth tape measure across the centers of the pennies to the edge of the windshield on each side to make sure the distance was equal.I also measured from the center of the Givi logo to each penny to make sure that the height of each was the same. After fudging the pennies around slightly so everything is exact, then you clean the back mounting points of your windshield with isopropyl alcohol to ensure good adhesion, then stick the longest silicone feet in place in line with either your marks, or as in my case, in line with the pennies.Press hard and hold for about 20 seconds.Don't forget to clean all the fingerprints off the front and back.I put a good coating of ceramic wax on both the front and back of mine.Time to mount it on the bike!As a finishing touch, I polished two wheat back pennies and place them on the windshield (backs showing) to conceal the adhesive of the silicone feet.I just thought it would be a nice extra touch, and besides I like shiny copper! At a later point, I might see if I can find some round Triumph biker pins, grind off the pin, and attach them where the pennies are now.Sounds like a lot of work, but not really. The most work was trimming the tape nicely on the pennies. Lol!At least I got a windscreen that finally looks decent, and offers more coverage than a tiny absolutely worthless flyscreen! This is the only windscreen that I found anywhere, that actually has a flare at the top that directs the air upward and not directly into your face like all the other ones do!Would I recommend this!Absolutely! As far as I'm concerned it's your best bet for a second generation Triumph Speed Twin 1200!

As screens go, this one is ok but no more than that. It is not a universal screen. It will not fit a Honda CBF 600. I had to reverse the brackets to make it fit. This means that I have no control of the positioning of the screen and it now rests against the back of the clocks trapping water. The piece of plastic that has the Givi logo on at the bottom of the screen has also come loose. This screen, although it hasn't flown off yet, never gives you confidence that it will stay in place on a motorway journey. This is because of the fixing brackets. You have to loosen the headlight retaining bolts and then fit the "U" shaped brackets over them and tighten up the bolts. As the only method of it seems to be lacking in a secure bolted on mounting bracket.
