I am the envy of my neighbors. Get the big one if you hang it off of your dock. I don’t travel with it. It just goes up and down with the tide. There’s plenty of line. The company didn’t chince on anything. I’m sure it will dash many years.

This is a review for Ghosthorn Waterproof Live Bait Aerator Pump, Fish Tank Bubbler with Super Quiet Construction, Portable Live Bait Aeration, Outdoor Fishing Power Outages and EmergenciesI don't like using live bait, but if I am going to use it like we did this winter ice fishing, I want them to be able to breathe well.At first, I wasn't sure about the durability of this unit. It is really light, but it is pretty sturdy. While on a snowmobile dragging the shanty out to where we were going, this thing actually gained lift, disconnected from the air hose and then crash landed onto the ice. When I eventually located it an hour later, it was still working. I was surprised I found it though, because I was hoping to hear it while searching, and it's so quiet, I couldn't hear anything until I was right on top of it.The battery has good life to it as well. We left it on for over 24 hours before it went out (non intermittent air). Unfortunately it did go out while using it on the ice, and you cannot charge it while using it. We disconnected it for about 15 minutes, and then tried again, and it stayed on the rest of the day using the intermittent setting, and then charged it that night.Overall, I am very pleased with this rechargeable air pump. I don't give out a lot of 5 stars, but a few of them have gone to Ghosthorn products.

I have an old ice chest that I use as a live well when out in my boat. I have been using one of those clip on the side type but the problem is it easily gets bumped and knocked off so when I saw this I decided to give it a try. Here are my observations1. I really like the design and the fact that it floats on the water inside my container instead of being clipped to the outside2. the three options for running is good for saving the battery time although once fish are in the water I will have to pretty much run it on high all the time3, the charging is a little touchy and if not careful it will fall off or misalign and stop charging. but once you get the hang of it and are careful it does charge. it would have been better if the base of the charging plug was flatter so it would not be as likely to fall over when bumped.4. The air flow is not as great as either of the hang over the side type air pumps I have used in the pass time will tell if the flow is sufficient enough to keep the fish alive I would have preferred it to have at least 50% more air flow but I guess I could always get a second one if it turns out to be a problem5. the switch to turn it on and off was not clearly marked or explained it took me a while to figure out how to turn it on and off maybe a little explanation would be helpful. also a water activated switch would also be nice where once it is in water it goes on and then when removed it turns offconclusion: over all it is a nice made unit and the design is a big improvement over the hang over the side models. it has a couple quirks and could use a little more air flow but over all it is a good unit
