This tray is really cute but it’s a little rough. I used to serve deviled eggs once and since, it’s just been on display on the counter. I could probably lightly sand and seal but it’s great for light use or display.

I purchased the egg holder for my daughter in law. She often makes delicious deviled eggs to bring to parties. This makes a beautiful presentation. If there is a change in inspiration the opposite side of board is ready for charcuterie. This is a two in one beautifully finished board. It was delivered very speedily and packaged with care. Very pleased with the purchase.

I hand-washed it before use, and the wood grain came up, and also a brown stain. I had to take a sander to smooth it again. I wiped it down with mineral oil, as I do with bamboo cutting boards, and more brown stain came up. I'm not sure if this is food safe, and I'm afraid to wash it again. I bought this as a wedding gift, but I'm afraid to give it. "Oh here is a gift for you, but you can't wash it, and I wouldn't put any food that has moisture to it on it. It may turn your eggs brown. I hope you like it!" Not cool.
