These shears are the bomb!! They are great for quartering Blue Crabs. I use them for cutting out Redfish throats. They have not let me down.

Scissors are very durable.Careful when using what is bad is the knife edge is on outside of scissor and you can get cut very easily from it if you are not careful.The grips on scissors are not wide enough too much pressure put on hand when trying to cut big fish especially the fins and.

Super tuff and sharp, user be careful there is an outside edge on the scissors as well. Use the sheath when not cutting. I used this for bait fish for making cut bait. The scissors go right thru anything, fish scales, bone. High praise

I bought these for dipnetting season this year in Alaska. I love all of the different features on them like the fin nipper and gut hook! It made cleaning fish super quick and the fin nipper made it super easy for cutting the fins on my personal use fish. No fumbling around with kitchen scissors trying to cut tail fins! The only complaint that I have is that it is hard to open the scissors fully. My hands are not super big, but they are definitely not small for a woman. I feel like if the company made another size with the finger grips a little smaller and closer to the joint of the scissors, it would be much easier to open them fully and use the fin nippers more easily.But overall, they are really convenient and super easy to clean after your done using them. I also attached a cord (not included) to the small loophole so that I could attach them to my chest waders.

It took a little while to get past the price tag and actually order them. Glad I did though. Initial impressions: nice substantial weight, comes presharpened, and a durable construction. Only Con is as a pair of scissors they feel backward, awkward and a bit clumsy having your pinky and ring finger floating. Irony is they are a pair of scissors that function better when they're dismantled. It's a good descaler. good knife blade for cutting up bait fish
