Cheapest source for these gelli plates! Next? The 16x20 size for me! The works you can create are unbelievable. Start small and move up as you become comfortable and more proficient! They are well worth the investment!

Making prints with a gel plate is easy and fun. Lots of opportunities to experiment. Easy set up, clean up isn’t too bad. The smell isn’t great and that’s why 4 stars instead of 5.

First gel plate, small size. I am hooked. The surface is very smooth and somewhat forgiving. It accepts paint well, and no issues with paint removal. I plan to purchase the next larger size. I made the mistake of purchasing a hard rubber brayed, but once I used a soft rubber brayer I had better control over the paint layer.

I’m using this to create decorative papers for collage. It’s easy to use and there are lots of ways to use it. Many ideas on Instagram to get you started. I love the results.

One of my sisters introduced me to the Gel Plate. With no prior knowledge of it, nor techniques for its use, I was able to use the plate immediately as I experimented with color and eventually with stencils. Under supervision, this literally is a product for all ages. There is a learning curve, but one that can be extremely satisfying with use...the only real limitation will be the limits of one's own creativity. Have used the plate with stunning effects just using leaves from one of the trees outside. With the use of stencils, also available here on Amazon, you will get a more fixed, predictable final outcome, within the vast array of color combinations that Acrylics affords. If you want an idea of what to expect from the Gel Plate, look up videos on YouTube. Quite a few of the excellent video instructors have their own shops here within Amazon. If you have a budding artist in your family that you love, this would make a perfect gift and one that can help open the doors of creativity for so many, no matter how young, nor how old, (I am soon to be 70). Yes, I would highly recommend this to others to enjoy!

This is at least my third gel plate, I keep buying them in different sizes. I wanted one where I could print a full A4 page - This is the one! Although it's much larger than A4 I did get a feel for where the paint needed to be - if unsure you could put a piece of paper underneath. I've used different types of acrylic paint on mine, so far Amsterdam are my favourites, but the cheaper craft paonts have been fine, just more textured. If you buy one, make sure you have a full ream of paper ready to play! I like to use 90 - 120 GSM weight.
