The stand is made of sturdy metal and has solid footing. However, the padded prongs that are supposed to cradle the guitar can't be fixed in place or tightened. As as a result they move out of position and don't stay fixed. They can literally spin around on the frame like a propeller. My guitar just didn't feel secure, even with the little plastic strap secured at the top. If not for this defect it would be a good product. I returned mine for this reason

I only have one bass and one guitar and limited space. The padding allows me to have piece of mind that they wont get scratched, the latch is easy to use and stops my cat from being able to knock them out (probably wouldn't stop a determined child though if I had to guess). It let's me confidently store both instruments with my limited space.

Holds two guitars really well. Is pretty light weight but is plenty sturdy and easy to assemble. If you only have 1 guitar on it, it is obviously heavier on the side with the 1 guitar, and it would be possible to bump it and tip it over pretty easily. Not an issue, just something to be careful about. I have guitar straps on my guitars and when I first got it I took one my guitars off and it caught the hook and almost dumped my other guitar onto the floor. This is not a knock of the product, just something to think about when you get it. It looks really nice and does the job well. Would buy again.

I’ve had this for about a year now. It’s held 2 high dollar guitars at all times and has never fallen over or given me the impression it can’t do it’s job. I recommend for the price it’s a steal.

I had 1 stand for my 1 electric but occasionally someone will bring their acoustic over. This is a great solution.It's very stable and I don't see it getting knocked down when my 2 large cats rough house. (If you have dogies, I can't say the same)It slants the tiniest bit to one side, (base mid section to top I'd say is off by 1/2 inch) but most people wouldn't ever notice it unless they were like me and thoroughly inspected it right after they took it out of the box.There was some issue during shipping but I wrote an email to customer service and explained my issue and they corrected the problem immediately.I'm very pleased with the product, and my purchasing experience.
