I use these kits at work, but when it’s time to do my own car, I was able to purchase the same thing here at a better price. These are a good second choice kit, if you want to save some money. Besides, Gates is the timing belt honda uses from the factory.

Used on a Honda with 160 k miles, 'did fantastic !!!! Easy ?Well ,, remove the right front tire put safety jacks under the frame parts . put the tire under thecars passenger side,,, pails for water catching ,, takes abut 4 - 5 hours ,,,get a mechanic helper,, finish witha new serpentine belt , you are good for go another 60 to 70 k miles !!Quiet !! Well made...installs in its place easily,,just removing all the junk around the pump takes time and keep it organized!!!Addendum: Its now April car has less than 800 miles on it, not used that much. The water pumphas gone busto!! Local mechanics shop advised auto parts sold on Amazon are for a cheap limited time fix!!! I paid out pretty close to what Nappa charges for parts ,,,a litle less. Turns out the installation of this water takes 7 hours the labor is $650 the local garage has to charge me. On top of that the bill for quality water pump parts will be close to $300. Wait !!!! Oh!!,its past 30 days and Amazon advised no returns!!Well, I live in CT.. Amazon has attachable business but attorneys fee is now $5,000 so overall to recover from this bad bad scene I 'm out court time,,, attorneys fees, and lost time for the car operation.!!!!Beware of Amazon car parts I love Amazon but I am very sure Amazon keeps up with returns !!Beware!!!

All parts fit exactly like OEM, all parts included in this kit feel premium. Original bolts are used from OEM, so be aware that this kit does not come with new bolts. Other than this, i would highly recommend this kit!*NOTE* this kit was NOT a simple change on a 2001 Honda Accord EX 3.0 V6. It takes some knowledge on the vehicle and its engine bay to remove certain parts to assistance in changing the included parts.

I put a lot of trust into the gates brand considering my Honda has an interference motor. A year after installation, I noticed the strangest noise from under the timing cover at idle. The belt looked fine, so I just threw some new pulleys at it even though this kit came with new ones. The sound persisted, so off with the timing covers again. This time I inspected the hydraulic tensioner, only to find that it had no oil in it. These are supposed to come prefilled with oil since they come pretensioned with clip installed. I still had the original tensioner so it was angrily reinstalled. Thank you gates for almost ruining my engine and wasting at least 3 entire days for me. I'll still buy gates, because Honda OEM is overpriced, but now I'm just a little less trusting of gates QC.

Ordered this kit to complete the needed maintenance on a Honda Accord. I was surprised to find Koyo bearings for the idler and tensioner pulley. That was an awesome added bonus considering that is the OEM part supplier. Water pump was a Gates pump and looked and felt to be a very high quality part. And of course the belt is a gates so you know it will last. Overall, great product and I believe it will last 105,000 miles just as it was designed to.

Installed this into my 2000 honda accord V6 EX over the weekend. Perfect fit, but time will tell if the water pump will be durable. The belt and pulleys and tensioner seem to be top notch...water pump might be a little suspect as it seemed very generic. Everything is AOK now. Ask me in 30,000 miles.

I have been buying Gates products (belts and hoses) for years based on the quality of their products. This was the first component kit with a water pump that I have tried. I was not disappointed. I bought the kit for a 2002 Honda Accord EX V6 with 105,000 miles. The kit included all the components pictured: one timing belt, one tensioner, one hydraulic tensioner, one idler, and the water pump with seal. All components are OE quality. I also replaced the power steering belt and the alternator/AC belt along with the upper and lower radiator hoses - all Gates. The Honda should be good for another 105,000 miles! I would not hesitate to purchase one of these kits for any of my other vehicles!

All parts had great fit and finish. Used it on 01 accord with a V6. Original belt was a Gates and the original bearings were the same also. Not so sure the pump wasn't made by the same company ! Harmonic balancer was biggest trouble. Beat and banged with impact guns and cheater bars to no avail. "Special tool" was a joke. Finally used oxy/acetylene torch to heat the washer under the bolt. After 5 hours of headache, impact gun brought it out IMMEDIATELY after applying heat! Just don't heat the bolt! After that bull, it was nice that this kit worked out so good!
