It looks like a decently made chain; I haven't seen any corrosion yet. For the thickness of the links, it does feel a little lighter than my primary chain, which is also 5/16". I'm not sure if it is as strong as a more expensive, brand name chain, but I'm using it on my stern anchor, so it should be fine.

Solid chain! This 15-foot chain is galvanized and comes with two shackle links. This chain would be great for towing, pulling, a boat anchor, and anything else that requires a strong connection. I really like that this chain is galvanized so it should last well through various weather conditions and keep from rusting. I have used it to drag logs with my compact tractor and it works like a charm! A great chain for the price!

This was the perfect size for my anchor. It seems to be decent quality and has a good galvanized coating. It’s a chain so it has a decent weight to it. It’s a good value and I would recommend it.

I got this to replace the old, rusty anchor chain in my fishing boat. This kit includes a 6' long, wide-link 5/16" galvanized chain. The individual links are 2" long. There are also two 3/8" chain shackles with screw-in clevis pins secured with cotter pins. All parts are steel. The galvanized finish on the chain is relatively smooth.I could find no information on this chain regarding the type or strength.I am confident that this chain kit will meet my needs and I will no longer have to contend with rust spots on the boat deck.

The chain seems to have good galvanizing. It feels sturdy. The shackle pin threads in and out smoothly and the pin is a good upgrade to make sure it doesn't come loose. Other than that, what can you say about something like this? If it breaks and my rope doesn't I'll let you know it failed, otherwise. I'd order it again.

I got another chain from Lowe's for about the same price. This is much heavier and thicker. The cotter pins do seem a bit thin, but just looking at it from a chain standpoint, it seems significantly better than what you can get at the hardware store.

It's a good and sturdy chain. Shackles on the end are high quality. Everything is just as good as you'd get at your local hardware store, only a bit cheaper.Works well for an anchor chain or a multitude of other things where it might see water/weather.

While I don't use it for boats, I'm always in favor of any strong ropes and chains and this one has held up remarkably. Currently I'm actually using this as a long dog chain for my giant breed dog while traveling and the shackles allow me to hook it to several anchor points around my truck and camper so he can have a long area of movement but I don't have to risk him snapping anything which did recently happen with a different chain. This would also be great for a light tow chain, coupling or securing cargo with a lock if needed. It's just overall a really good quality chain, heavy duty and multi use which is always a plus.
