Like others say this is not a planter, it is a square cover for planter pots. It was fairly simple to assemble and looks good. However, there is a really bad chemical smell even weeks after being left in my backyard. 10 feet away you can still smell it.

These planters arrived quickly, so no complaints there. However, I soon realised, when assembling them, that they had no bases. I looked back at the advert, and there it was - tucked away in the small details of the product. No bases. Really? What sort of planters are supplied without bases? It is just so ridiculous, but it's my fault - I missed it. I would also question the quality to a degree. One of the planters had a totally mis-matched piece of wood. I had a think about it, and realised that I had the materials to make and install bases for myself, and could not he hassled with sending them back. Just seems sneaky to me, hiding an important detail like that from fully visible sight. Won't be buying here again.

While these are beautiful and easy to put together, there is no bottom to them so now I have to buy additional materials for the planters. Not to mention I paid over $90 for a 2 pack that is now $60 and less than two weeks from purchase.

Pretty solid little boxes. They do not have a bottom, so be aware of that. Mine came with some type of white stains on them that were pretty difficult to remove. I debated returning the product because of it then realized I'd probably get another with it's own issues, so decided to just fix the white spots myself. The price point was decent enough to motivate this decision. They look great on my patio right now, so we'll see how they look next season ^^

Thought this was a proper planter but it doesn't have a bottom so really only decorative rather than practical. I kept them to use elsewhere but had to buy something else to pot up my vegetables.

Ended up returning this item as did not understand why they had NO base. They are basically expensive wooden plant pot covers.

Guys! Don't be like me. Read with comprehension the description that clearly says "No bottom panel" or whatever the actual clearly written wording says. It was totally my bad, and I'm making it work, but for the other "Cher's" out there... heads up! :) This is a wonderful set, strong and sturdy (mine are just a TEENY bit off balance, but nothing to cry over) and the interior opening is about 14" so you can put a potted plant inside. :) Also, it is not water tight (which makes sense because it's clearly not a traditional "planter", but I just thought I'd put that out there. I thought maybe I'd figure out a way to ADD a bottom panel, but the sides have slats that would probably let water and possibly soil out as well. Just want y'all to make an informed decision if you're an "Oooh! Pretty!" shopper like me.
