Seems to be fine. The original formed a split mid hose after 6 years. Easy to attach.

Wears out and falls apart after a few weeks. First, I noticed the blue rings had flat spots and then the end tip wore down and fell out, so it didn't have the nice jet stream for moving dirt and wagging back and forth. Then all the blues rings came off because they wore down completely on one side. Maybe it will last longer in a vinyl liner pool but I doubt it.

My poolbot has lost his tail by the end of the season last year. So Ive bought this one as a replacement and waited quite a while to install and observe.Now after a few months I would say: scroll to the next available option. I put three stars only due to the fast delivery and authentic look. It fits Polaris ideally and very easy to install. Now the bad ones:Although it still works and I hope it'll last through the summer I'm going to buy a new one and there are my reasons why:1. There is one puncture in the tube already, and from the looks of the surface soon there will be more. Ducktape would help we for a while2. White weights are loose and tend to move down the tail all the time. So now it's my daily duty to spread them back3. Blue protection rings fall off the tail all the time. Good thing boot picks them up and I put them back again.4. End tail sponge didn't last a week. The foam was soo soft, like you bathing a baby not scrubbing the pool bottom.

I took 1 star off only because I had to stretch the hose out over three days so it wouldn’t get stuck around the tires of the pool cleaner. Other than that, quality product and fast service.

Functionality is perfect, but a locking clip is not included. Most of the time you can re-use the clip if you're careful removing it, but sometimes they're too brittle and old and just break. The tail replacement is a great value and I will buy again!
