For a translucent, sickly zombie green, apply lightly with a barely damp makeup sponge. This method may take several coats and some areas my be harder to cover than others. For an opaque matte green, paint on, using a flat, 1/4 inch or wider makeup or art brush dipped in a little water. This technique only took one coat for solid coverage and it was easy to apply to even small contours. If the face you’re painting has fine lines or crepey skin, those qualities will be greatly exaggerated. I was also able to paint bold designs with a smaller brush dipped in water. After dry, some face paint rubbed off when touched and color also transferred to clothing. If it comes in contact with even a small amount of water, it can get messy. Removing the face paint with soap and water was easy. I avoided getting paint on my clothes so i don’t know if it will come out in the laundry.

Easy to apply with some water to soften. It can be applied lightly or thicker depending on how solid you want it to look.

It has a little trouble spreading for me, but I'm also a novice at using this stuff. So take my review from the every day person's point of view. It worked well enough for me, although it smeared a few times. That could be user error. But it worked OK and got the job done what I needed. It's cheap enough, so I'd say go for it. Maybe you'll have better luck with it than me.

We have used this to put designs on my daughter’s and her friends’ faces for high school football games. We use Q-tips and a little water. The designs stay on and the paint doesn’t irritate their skin. My daughter is able to easily wash it off with a makeup wipe before bed at night. I like that it’s water-based instead of oil-based like some of the other face/body paints available.

I did my best to take a variety of pictures to try and help show that iridescent look this product has as I was not expecting this from a red face paint. This was not mentioned in the product description. At least not anywhere that I saw or remember reading. What you see pictured is me applying the product to my hand with my fingertip repeatedly. It’s a powder. I swatched it onto my hand roughly 7x and that was the color/look that I got. Not what I thought it was going to do. I did NOT try it with water yet or a damp brush and will update/post pics when I do. Maybe that iridescence will go away or lessen with water?? I’m not sure. I wanted a flat red but this look could be very cool for a variety of costumes/uses. What I did like about this is that it wiped almost completely off my hand with toilet paper and nothing else. I have shown this as well. What was left came off with soap and water. For myself this isn’t as big of an issue, but I do my grandson’s Halloween costumes/makeup every year and having products that are easily removable is a major bonus as he is not very patient with that whole process.

I was a bit iffy on this face paint. I opened up the package and the paint was dry as a bone. I was a bit confused as to how this was going to work. After googling the paint AND reading the provided instructions I realized I had to add water to activate the paint. I added little by little. Mixing it together with my finger and a makeup sponge. Once I was able to get it to a paint like consistency I began to paint on layers with the make up sponge. It was smooth and went on easily. It was not sticky at all but you do have to take the time to let the layers dry (about five minutes or less). In the pictures one arm was done with one layer but the pictures with the tattoos it was about four layers. Once the layers are dry IT DOES NOT budge or come off. It does easily come off with soap and warm water when you are ready to take it off. I loved this product! Can't wait to use it for Halloween parties coming up!

This is a beautiful purple body paint & it activates with water. I tested on my arm & it dryed matte. It was also easy to washout with water. I very much like this body paint I would recommend.
