I used it for my Kenmore Elite commercial fridge in my home.This is the replacment for 216715500After reading reviews about thr C being the blue wire it took no time to connect it all back. I suggest using needle nose to bend the sensor wire so it fits in the plastic tray. What took the most time was removing the items and undoing all the screws to my cover and the drawer supports

My refrigerator would run fine for a few day but then become warm overnight. After unplugging re-plugging it in, I replaced the thermostat controller. This was exactly what the refrigerator needed.

Refrigerator would only cool when you tapped or hit the control knob and would warm up and not cool until you touched it again. This part fixed that issue.

Refrigerator was getting way too warm. If I jiggled the temperature knob at the bottom-back of the unit, the refrigerator would start working, cool down well. Once the compressor stopped (once appropriate cool temperature reached), the compressor would never stitch on again, and temperature slowing increased - until I jiggled the thermostat againTook about 30 minutes to change this thermostat. The power wire connectors were not located at the exact same location as the original, and neither had any + or - indication, so I had to guess which post to connect the black and blue wires to (50% chance of getting it right). (Not sure if it makes a difference, actually.) The black, blue and green (ground) wires actually connect more securely to the new thermostat.This kit comes with a 2-insulated-wire harness / connector. I have no idea what that is for. I didn't need it.

Works great. By the way C on the thermostat stand for common which is the blue wire in case you don't know which wire goes where .
