The value for what you are getting is way worth it. They are lightweight, fold up, snap in place securely, and pack flat. I would highly recommend these to anyone who hikes. I would 100% purchase again and plan on doing so.

Perfect for hiking, camping, car camping... I love these bowls and use them all the time. Follow the directions and you won't have any issues with them popping open. Quality is great!

Received two bowls. One snapped together perfectly, but the other shipped with a damaged snap. The snaps are plastic and it must have been crushed at some time during the manufacturing process. I was just unlucky, but most are probably fine.

Saw these snap bowls on a video of top ten best camping gear of the year on youtube and checked them out for reviews and then ordered some. They are every bit as ingenious as they appear to be.Light weight, very well made, strong snaps and act as a bowl or chopping board for meal prep. Clean up easily and stow away like two shootes of paper. They also get a lot of attention from everyone who sees them. Highly recommend

For me as a backpacker, space and weight are the main priorities when considering what gear to choose. I used to carry a Sea to Summit Delta bowl before. It is a nice bowl, sturdy, and easy to clean. However, there is one nuance that made me look for something else: it is concave and therefore, takes some room in my backpack. So I found the Snapfold Bowl and decided to give it a try.So far I like it. It is 50 grams lighter than my Delta Bowl and takes no room in the backpack, as it is completely flat. I use an Osprey 6L dry sack as a food bag and this bowl fits there just perfectly. My only two concerns are the durability (sooner or later the bowl will snap along the creases) and hygiene: while the bowl is easy to clean, bacteria will accumulate around the snap fasteners.Pros:- Completely flat- Lightweight (41 g/ 1.45 oz)Cons:- Longevity is questionable- Not perfectly hygienic

I've used these for over 6 months now and they have held up well, including canoe and camping trips, work and any other place I thought I would need a bowl. They are super light and fold flat. It is like carrying a sheet of paper. I slide one right into my computer bag for work. When first purchased, I pinched the creases and held each for about 30 seconds, and then left them snapped together (as pictured) for a couple of days. Very lightweight, works great, cleans up nicely.

I bought a two pack of these in the spring of 2017 thinking they wouldn't be very durable, but not caring because they were perfect for trekking at Philmont and really only needed to last 12 days. I had two. I still haven't bothered using the second one. 6 years, 3 treks, and an untold number of campouts later, I'm still using the same bowl. It packs flat. Weighs nothing. Easy to lick clean on the trail. Seriously the only piece of gear other than my pack that I haven't found something better and that I consider to be a must have. We actually buy these for all of the Cub Scouts in our Pack along with a cup and spork to be their 'mess kits' in anticipation of them crossing over into Scouts and needing a reliable piece of gear. The littles love them, and the older Scouts all agree that they're indispensable and I don't backpack with anything else. Over the years I've received a couple with manufacturer's defects, but on the whole these are extremely durable and well made, and well, I'm still trying to destroy my first one.

Edited review - I was buckling the product upside down. I didn’t realize it had a right side and a wrong side. When you snap it the right side up, it works perfectly!Original review - I love the idea of plate and bowl combo. It is super portable, easy to clean, and a great plate! Snapping the sides together is very difficult though. The snaps are not strong enough to keep the sides together. You have to hold the snaps together while trying to snap the other sides otherwise they come undone. All in all, great idea and great as a plate but the bowl aspect is lacking. Maybe it will get better the more I snap and unsnap it? If it does, I will re write the review. Right now, I struggle to keep the snaps closed in the bowl formation.

These origami bowls are great!I’m a commercial truck driver with a penchant for salads. They take up little room and I use them as bowls, plates, or cutting boards. They’re portable and really easy to clean. I’m planning on taking these camping or hiking based on those points alone. 9/10 overall. My only concerns are 1) how long will the snaps hold up, and 2) material fatigue at corner stress points. I imagine these will last quite a while, but I’m sure they have a limited lifespan. While the snaps hold alarmingly firm with lateral strain, repetitive unfastening may wear the plastic prematurely. The plastic is flexible, and similar to those thin cutting boards. I’m thinking the corner points will eventually develop small holes/tears that will cause liquids to drip out. It all depends on how frequently you fold them, I guess. All in all, I’m really liking these; I might get the three piece set too.5/5: easy to clean4/5: sturdiness5/5: durability

For the three or four times I used these while they were still snapping shut they were AMAZING! Super easy to clean, take up practically zero space, worked great for pets and people. Then the snaps broke. Once the snaps break, they’re useless pieces of plastic that need to be recycled. I would pay double, triple, even quadruple for a very sturdy version this product. I bought the large bowl and four small cup/bowls. They were all broken on at least one corner within a couple months.
