My dad used amo boxes as stash boxes to keep his things dry and air tight buried in the ground. This amo box is strong and sturdy as I remembered them. You won’t be disappointed. Some of the glue stays on after removing sticker, not much. This isn’t for shine and show either. Just got it today will update in a few months.

Looks, smells, and operates like the GI Can I used for 20 years. Solid.

Title sums it up. Also was able to peel off the sticker without issue. Will probably pick up a few more just to have on hand.

I bought this ammo can to store my lipo batteries, and when it arrived, the first thing that stood out to me was that it was very heavy. the rim was rubber sealed, making it look waterproofed. the latch was heavy duty, and it stored all of my lipo batteries just fine. there was a large sticker, but for me it peeled off easily, leaving no residues.

I keep my .22 ammo loose in here. Throw a couple silica gel packs in there with your ammo and call it a day. The can locks tightly, and has a seal for water tight storage. Looks great and works great. Built to last.

When it comes to lipo batteries for the RC hobby, it's best to use a belt and suspenders approach. Nobody wants to come home from a vacation only to find that their house has burnt down because of an angry lipo. I have seven lipo batteries of different sizes and ages. They are all used in my weekend bashers. This ammo can is well built, heavy duty, and is the perfect size to accommodate a lipo safe bag. If you are using it for this purpose, make sure to vent the can by trimming the gasket on the lid of the can. I chose to remove the sides of the gasket so that any lipo smoke can escape safely without pressurizing the can. Then I use the Lipo Safe bag for an added layer of protection. Best to store this setup on nonflammable surface.

I am over the moon about this ammo can. Prior to finding this on Amazon I looked elsewhere online and found a site that sold used ammo cans that were much cheaper than brand new. I thought I’d pull the trigger on those cheap ones (pun intended) and I regret it now that I have ordered this product. The used ammo cans were “clean” as in there was no dirt or rust on them but they were definitely well used. There were some scars and scratches on them and the biggest issue I had with them is the rubber seal on the underside of the lid. Although the seal was still intact, it was definitely used and you could tell that there was a bit of a permanent crease in the seal. I should have ordered these from the start. These ammo cans are brand spanking new and worth every penny; and they’re not all that expensive when compared to other newer style plastic storage container options. There’s nothing wrong with the newer plastic style storage cans but I trust these tried and true metal containers any day of the week over plastics. These cans came bubble wrapped as if they were an expensive vase, which is funny considering what this product is. However, it’s a very nice touch and not unappreciated by me at all. The lids close just like a brand new ammo can should: hard and tight. Pack up your ammunition and toss in a few desiccant packets and you’re good to go!These cans remind me of my Army days so I’m definitely nostalgic and maybe even a bit biased. However, I can 100% say that these cans are worth every penny for storing your ammunition and I’ve gone on to order many more of this exact brand after purchasing my first one.I absolutely recommend these to you with zero hesitation. Just buy them! I hope this review was helpful to you in making a decision. Cheers!

These are just as good quality as the used surplus ones. They are also new and don't smell of the typical unknown chemicals etc that previously were loaded into the surplus ones...these appear to be made overseas and therefore are not authentic but the are compatible with the surplus ones. Mine stacks nicely with them and is water proof. I tested it submerged in my laundry sink...no leaks. These are good for storing bolts, nuts and screws etc and they look a lot cooler than cheap plastic bins. I wouldn't store food in them as i don't know the composition of the paint they are painted with. I'm currently transforming one into a first aid kit to keep in my jeep.

After the first order was "Lost in Transit" I attempted a second time. This time Amazon came through on the delivery... The seller was great at issuing a refund and I appreciated the quick turn on the second order. The pricing on these was great! The case is exactly as I expected. @ $20 / ammocan the quality is great. As to storing ammo, these work great in that usecase as well. The seals are good and no issues with water or moisture intrusion. In my second use case for the .50 cal cans. I am making an ammocan fireboxes. I have made a few out of old ammo cans I had lying around and they make great gifts for friends and family that are out camping often and stay in areas where burn bans are in effect. These meet the "need for fire" when camping and if you use the right ceramic rocks, can actually put out some heat.Great Ammocan!
