Greatbnew design on an old product, this guitar stand is very well made, easy to set up/take down, and it is super sturdy. It's wide enough to support a 5-string bass. Highly recommend.

This is what I was looking for. Holds my guitars and the locking mechanism works great. The padding is very good. I would definitely recommend it.

Killer instrument stands for the price!Definitely competes with Ultimate / Hercules stands, which I also have, or have used.Use it for 4 & 5-string bass guitar, 6 and 7-string guitars in home studio.I got one to test based on good reviews, and liked it so much, I got another, probably will buy a 3rd and 4th for other studio.Folds up pretty compact, has a little wider footprint when opened, plenty of height for bass, and never feels tipsy, or unstable. I can move it around securely with the instrument in place.Note to manufacturer, feature request: Add a clip-able strap hook for the upper pipe shaft. This would keep the strap from dragging on the ground in ground dust, animal fur, etc.I could probably 3D print a strap clip, but no stand manufacturer has really done this yet!Don't bother with those other cheapo floor cradle stands, or the overpriced name brand stands, go with these stands. No complaints!

Very solid sturdy stand and I have the version for two guitars. I am using at weekly gigs and I like that it doesn't rock or tip on various stages. I also like that my guitars are now higher up so all I have to do on a guitar change is reach over and done. And safe for nitro finishes. It is a bit heavier than I expected. And I only say that because this goes into a case with two other mic stands and various cables. It is heavier than the two smaller kickback stands I had previously. But it does add to the overall sturdiness. It also takes a quick bit to setup especially on a dark stage. Hard to see the pin hole and where one of the loosening collars is located. But pretty easy after getting used to it. It is compact when folded down.Overall, really nice and strong stand!

This is a professional guitar stand that folds down. It is not extremely small, and not light, but it does the job well. Your guitar will not tip over. Well made and stable.

I wasn't sure if the blue parts were metal or plastic. It's plastic but high quality, beefy and dense (not chewy). You don't receive a bunch of parts clinking around ikea style, it is completely assembled right out of the box. It feels unusually heavy when you pick it up especially if you've already worked with cheap booms and stands. I would give it 4 star because of its high price tag but I'm not a guitar stand expert so I don't want to affect its rep. I personally think it would have been a homerun for that brand and a no brainer for consumers if the blue parts were not made out of plastic.

I had a disaster with a cheap stand and a Les Paul. The tripod base was too small for the heavy weight of a Les Paul and it made it very unstable. I knocked it over by barely brushing agaisnt it and guitar hit the floor face first and the entire head stock snapped off.Shortly after this I bought a Martin D16 and wanted a stand that would protect that pretty pricey investment and not repeat the Les Paul incident. This stand seemed pretty sturdy with a wide base so I gave it a shot. It is very sturdy and feels very stable even with the weight of a heavy guitar like a Les Paul. And with a lightweight acoustic it would be very difficult to knock over as the stand weights about as much as the guitar and the base is quite wide. So unlike the cheap stand you can push it quite a ways over and it just pops back upright. So very stable and I don't feel like I have to have yellow caution tape all around my guitar stand in case someone accidentally brushes against it.The auto latching is nice and works reliably and all the surfaces that touch the instrument are cushioned in one way or another. I use it in my practice area so I don't travel with it so I can't speak to the ease of folding and unfolding it compared to other stands but it is certainly not complicated or difficult. The hook on the back is a nice convenience although I'm not sure who is going to hang their gig bag on stage. But for lessons or jam sessions it could come in handy.I have a number a cheap stands and this one is definitely worth the extra money for the better build quality and the extra security it provides. Learn from my mistake a don't by a cheap stand.
