After reading the reviews I just had to get it for old friend to aggravate the piss out of him. Took him two full days to put together. He's a school teacher and didn't have anything else to do. ROLL TIDE

This is time consuming but also fun!!! Great for someone with patience. Word of advice is to have mini cups to separate and store the different prices .

I got this as a gift for my husband. He loves it. It was fu to put together and he has displayed it since he made it. He even used it as the tree topped on his Christmas tree. Fun for someone who is a OSU fan as well as a LEGO fan.

Challenging but still easy to put together. Other than the facemask, it is a sturdy piece once put together. And I have collected 10 or so different helmets and only the start of each has been repetitive. I'm actually impressed with how many different variations of putting them together.

This was a gift for my husband for Christmas. He’s always been a lego lover and wanted to try something more challenging. This set was definitely what he was looking for. The pieces are absolutely tiny and the instructions are not the easiest to read. He really enjoyed the build however and wants to purchase the stadium next! Great product for adults but would not recommend for children.

I'd bought this for my 11 year-old nephew that loves Iowa football and architecture Legos. Seemed like a great idea with the overall rating this helmet gets. However, I came to find out he'd received a BRXLZ a year or two ago and got so upset with it that his mother threw it out. After reading some reviews I got to questioning whether or not to give it to him (esp the one about the guy taking weeks to complete it), and decided to do the helmet myself...Yes, the pieces are much smaller than Legos, and the studs are a bit taller which makes them more difficult to snap together. However, I've found that they seem to stay together quite well. My fingers started getting a little sore after a while... One thing I did notice is that the 1x pieces don't have circles on the inside which makes it possible for them to slide slightly out of place. This can make pieces difficult to place on top of side-by-side pieces. Once I realized this, the pieces went together well. I assumed I would have trouble with the mask, but that ended up being pretty easy. The worst part was the large plate on the top of the helmet. Make sure to support well on the inside as you push that down. I found turning the helmet upside down on the table and pushing from the inside was a bit easier.I agree that I would not give this to a younger child. They'll get frustrated with the 1x's sliding and how repetitive it is. The instructions have you build entire layers in a single step. This makes it challenging because there's a large numbers of pieces in one step (often the same color). I'd say this is probably a 10+ age toy, but honestly it's dependent on the kid... My 7-year-old really wanted to try, but I wanted to do it myself. He put a couple pieces on and said he thought it'd be fine.In the end it took me around 4 hours total to complete. My wife watched me build for a minute and said she couldn't build as fast as I can, so maybe I just have better pattern recognition than some other people... Not sure, but I honestly think this shouldn't take an adult much more then 6 hours even if they're careful. Now, I knocked off stars for a few reasons...First, I was missing 3 black blocks from my set (1x4, 2x4, and 2x8). Plenty of left over pieces, but none of the right size or color to finish the helmet. I've sent a message to the company, but I've never had a missing piece from a Lego brand set. Hopefully they'll be able to send the missing pieces. We'll see.Second, the instructions really are not very good. The steps need to be broken down a bit more so that it's easier to see the placement of different sized blocks. The lines are difficult to see sometimes especially on the black bricks and ones in the back part of the picture.Third, the instructions could be wrong/bad. I discovered that a couple steps made layers that were not symmetrical for no apparent reason. This meant that if you weren't paying close attention you could end up missing certain pieces in later steps. In my case I ended up having to go back and undo one of those differences so that I could compensate for my missing 2x4 brick. That wasn't easier to do, but I was able to replace 2 1x2's with a corner and a single so that I could use one of the 1x2's with a leftover 2x3 to make a 2x4. Unfortunately I couldn't do that for my other missing pieces. In the end it's a very cool looking decoration. Better instructions and complete sets would definitely make this a better product.[Update 11-5-2020]I sent an email to the company about the missing bricks and they responded within a day about getting me the missing bricks. I'd given them my order number and address in the email, so they were able to ship out the bricks as soon as they saw the email. There's an email and phone number on their website for customer service. They were apologetic for the missing pieces. I can't bump my rating up for that though... If this actually had been a gift for my nephew he would have been pretty disappointed and probably would have had to wait for the pieces to finish the build.

The package was ripped and a few pieces were loose in the box, we didn’t a piece count before starting and the were plenty of extras. Wish the packaging hadn’t been damaged since I was a gift for my husband. He loved it all the same since all the pieces were there!

This gets negative reviews from people who don't have realistic expectations about what it is. So to clarify:1: This is NOT LEGO. It is a Chinese toy that is similar. It is not compatible with LEGO, because it is a different size.2: When I say it is a different size, I mean it is smaller. Much smaller. Be prepared for teeny tiny pieces. If you drop one, it will instantly disappear into another dimension, never to be seen again. So take precautions. If you lose a few, the box seems to have extras of the smaller pieces. So you're probably covered.3: Because it is Chinese, and not Danish, the quality isn't quite as good. This is most noticeable when you assemble lots of pieces that are supposed to form a flat surface. You can see minor distortions in the pieces that LEGO wouldn't tolerate. Still, I never had an issue with pieces not fitting together. So it's merely cosmetic.4: Assembling a spindly face mask from these bricks yields a very fragile model. Handle with care. You can put a drop of CA glue on the joints if you want it to be permanent. That's what I did. But I still wouldn't let a child, or rival handle it.Having set realistic expectations, I can say that this toy is nicely done. I found the instructions to be clear and easy to follow. They're just like LEGO instructions, which are the gold standard for visual instructions. If you can't understand them, you don't have the right mindset for this type of toy. That's not a criticism, just an observation. Let someone else build it for you, and enjoy owning it.I do have one criticism to justify the 4/5 rating. The one I built uses a sticker to apply the team logo (Clemson). The sticker is printed in white on an over-sized clear background. The clear background cannot possibly be fully adhered to the distorted bricks and joints well enough to hide numerous air bubbles from view. And the white printing isn't opaque enough, allowing the underlying color to tint it. My "white" tiger paw looks like a lighter shade of orange. I plan to replace the provided stickers with white vinyl ones that don't use a clear backing.Overall, I really enjoyed putting this together. And I like displaying it, too.
